Room was small to the point of being difficult to negotiate, and that was an upgraded Queen room, I can't imagine what the standard Queen would have been. I found the owner/staff to be on the cold side. There was an apology written somewhere about the peeling paint on the outside of the inn, saying that painting had been planned... more

As a repeat guest, I am never disappointed when I revisit the Kemble Inn. While the staff was repeatedly apologetic about the outside paint peeling (the extremely endlessly wet spring made it impossible to follow through on any of the targetted dates for the outside painting; resulting in the job not being able to be completed until the early fall),... more

We enjoyed The Kemble Inn immensely. Freshly repainted on the exterior - which is gracious and elegant - we entered to find the interior as much so. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious and, when the temperatures dipped, the hosts left us a note telling us how to adjust the... more

The Kemble Inn is the perfect setting to experience the rich history of Lenox, as it is itself a part of that history. The mansion is the former home of a 19th century Secretary of State and is located right downtown, but with stunning views of the mountains. It is the sort of place where Edith Wharton would have dined,... more

This was our 5th visit to the Kemble Inn. Our room, as were all we've ever stayed in, was very spacious, very clean, and beautifully decorated. We love the elegance of staying in a "stately mansion," and enjoying cocktails on the back porch overlooking the sweeping grounds. The best part, though, was the gracious hospitality of the owner Bosa. Every... more

The Kemble Inn was great. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are very nice, & the hostess, Bosa, was great! I left my phone charger there & she mailed it back in a timely fashion. It's very close to Tanglewood & the downtown area of Lenox. Would definitely stay there again! more

We certainly enjoyed our stay again at this lovely Inn. It's a beautiful place with large, comfortable rooms and nice size bathrooms. The rear porch has a spectacular view of the Berkshires. The innkeeper is always friendly and helpful and we enjoy talking to her. She's made us feel welcome every time! more

We had a change of plans and wound up at The Kemble Inn at the last moment. We were lucky they had one room left. We were also lucky that it was the grand suite, with a huge bath tub and a view over the mountains. Our host, was charming, funny, helpful and had a bit of an edge. Some... more

We were looking for only a one night Friday night stay in Lenox, on our way up to Maine, which is virtually impossible to find during the Tanglewood season, as every other b & b requires a 2 or 3 night stay on a weekend. This was the only place that accommodated us, and now I know why. As the... more

Innkeeper is the opposite of gracious. She wouldn't let a friend who was visiting us use a restroom. Place is rundown and innkeepers lack any semblance of charm or hospitality. There is a generally creepy air to the place. Wildly overpriced for what you get. more
