When it comes to historic B&B's, my Sotheby's trained taste often exceeds my pocket book. I have stayed in enough lovely, historic inns to know that Joanne and Bruce have created a little paradise for what can be considered a reasonable rate in the otherwise pricey neighborhood of the Berkshires. If you are a culture vulture this is a central... More

This was our third visit to this wonderful bed and breakfast. The hosts make you feel like one of the family. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and homey accents. The daily breakfasts are delicious.....freshly baked items and delicious treats. The grounds are peaceful and impeccably maintained. We've enjoyed the close proximity to Tanglewood, the Shakespeare Theater, wonderful restaurants... More

We stayed at the Jonathan Foote House with two other friends when we came over form London on a visit. The welcome we were given was very warm and genuine and the place was full of character, beautifully kept up and furnished with antiques chosen by the owners who clearly love their house. The only down side was the noise... More

The Jonathan Foote 1778 House is such a lovely inn. The setting is quiet and beautiful, especially in the fall when we went. The Inn is in the middle of the foliage and our room had a beautiful view of all the colors of fall. It was warm and cozy and having our own fire place really made it romantic.... More

This is a lovely, peaceful spot in the Berkshires, just minutes from Lenox. My daughter and I spent the last night of our week long tour of New England colleges here and didn't want to leave. We stayed in the Rose Room which was very comfortable with an antique four-poster bed and two easy chairs next to a big stone... More

I visited the Jonathan Foote 1778 House with two girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful time and loved this inn. The owners are warm and friendly and made us a delicious, elegantly-presented breakfast. A little box of chocolates and a "happy birthday" note greeted me in our room upon our arrival. Fresh cookies also awaited us in... More

My husband and I visit the Berkshires frequently and usually stay in Lenox. I'd seen the Jonathan Foote House in Lee on the web and decided to try it for our one night stay on February 14, 2010. It was perfect. JoAnn and her friendly, well-behaved golden retriever greeted us when we arrived. On the way to our room, we... More

My husband and I were looking for a quiet, romantic spot to spend New Year's Eve, and this B&B turned out to be a perfect choice -- clean, reasonably priced and well-restored. Our hosts were friendly and capable, the location was just right. If you like period houses and the Berkshires, this is the spot for you. Breakfast was tasty... More

Staying at the Jonathan Foote 1778 House allowed us the opportunity to go back in history for just a while. Upon entering the B & B, you instantly feel connected with the past - to a simpler time, unhurried, unencombered by a lot of the hustle and bustle of the world we live in. The Innkeepers, JoAnn and Bruce Zamoch... More
