Lovely house. Loving dog😊😊. This place is cozy and the hosts are lovely. A must visit in fall season and summers. They have a large lawn and the surrounding area is scenic. Jonathan made us lovely cakes that I never had before. Not to be missed.

The Jonathan Foote 1778 House is situated in the town of Lee, which lies in a beautiful valley in the wooded foothills of SW Mass. Known also for its famous resident Norman Rockwell who painted the workers of the now redundant old Mill at Joes Diner still there in Lee High Street. The Inn is beautifully decorated in Colonial style... More

We have stayed at the Jonathan Foote House a number of times now in all seasons. Always friendly, quiet, tucked onto a pretty piece of land and comes accompanied by a sweetheart of an older dog. The breakfast is always wonderful and there are snacks and, our favorite, blackberry brandy, for the nighttime. We recommend this b&b 100%

We found the Jonathan Foote B&B about five years ago and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else for our at least annual trip to the Berkshires. Each time we come we stay longer. JoAnn and Bruce are the nicest people you would want to know as friends, not to mention having as your hosts. Their sweet Golden Retriever Ceili is another... More

After reading the reviews, I expected more than I found at Jonathan Foote 1778 House. The inn is conveniently located in Lee and the setting is lovely with big, old trees and pretty perennial gardens. Unfortunately, when I stepped inside, I was surprised to find that the inn's decor was quite drab, especially the living and dining rooms. Also, the... More

This review just goes to show that we just can't please everyone. Although we did reboot and get the wi-fi up and running, it was just not quick enough for the son or the mother. . Concerned that we could not seem to please them (the mother had shared that wi-fi was important to them and I did tell her... More

Before booking my stay at the Jonathan Foote 1778 House, I read several dozen reviews on this site. I couldn’t understand how it could be that there was not one bad review, but thought if all these people liked it, I’ll give it a try. Well, now I understand. It takes a great deal of caring, thought, and time to... More

After many attempts to find the perfect place to stay near Tanglewood, we came upon the Jonathan Foote 1778 House about ten years back. We haven't gone anywhere else since. Lovely setting, friendly and caring hosts, rooms with character and delicious breakfasts make for a first-rate stay. rfk33

We stayed here in order to attend a performance at Jacob's Pillow, which is about a twelve minute drive away. It was our second stay. The owner whom we met, JoAnn, is very welcoming and easy to talk to. And so accommodating. She was willing to get the coffee started early because we said we like to have some in... More

My husband and I were planning a getaway vacation over the July 4th weekend. We usually stay in one of the larger commercial hotels but when I started researching places to stay I noticed that there were many bed and breakfast establishments in the area. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and I have to admit... More

Thank you for your lovely review. Other guests have shared that is often a big step to try a B&B after staying in commercial establishments. We are pleased that you chose your first stay at a B&B to be at the Jonathan Foote 1778 House and are happy that it was a positive experience for you both. We enjoyed meeting... More

B&B Owner Bruce greeted us warmly, setting the tone for our visit. The property is so pretty; the porch perfect -- and just the right amenities. Cookies, candy, brandy! It's VERY close to Jacob's Pillow and nice to explore tiny Lee as well. And convenient to Lenox. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Joanne sends you off in the a.m.... More
