We stayed here in order to attend a performance at Jacob's Pillow, which is about a twelve minute drive away. It was our second stay. The owner whom we met, JoAnn, is very welcoming and easy to talk to. And so accommodating. She was willing to get the coffee started early because we said we like to have some in... More

My husband and I were planning a getaway vacation over the July 4th weekend. We usually stay in one of the larger commercial hotels but when I started researching places to stay I noticed that there were many bed and breakfast establishments in the area. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and I have to admit... More

Thank you for your lovely review. Other guests have shared that is often a big step to try a B&B after staying in commercial establishments. We are pleased that you chose your first stay at a B&B to be at the Jonathan Foote 1778 House and are happy that it was a positive experience for you both. We enjoyed meeting... More

B&B Owner Bruce greeted us warmly, setting the tone for our visit. The property is so pretty; the porch perfect -- and just the right amenities. Cookies, candy, brandy! It's VERY close to Jacob's Pillow and nice to explore tiny Lee as well. And convenient to Lenox. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Joanne sends you off in the a.m.... More

Thank you for your recent review of our Inn. Yes, the room you stayed in was built in 1822 as a Tavern adjoining the Inn. So, it is separate and does have it's own entrance. However, our guests always have access to the main entrance to the Inn , which includes the great room and dining room where keep a... More

After several years of visiting the 1778 House we wanted to let others know what a treasure this B&B is. The property is beautifully maintained and for preservation buffs the original fireplaces, paneling and charming antiques make for a delightful setting. JoAnne and Bruce the warm and accommodating owners always make travelers feel welcomed as does the sweet tempered dog... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Jonathan Foote B & B in Lee, MA while we saw James Taylor at Tanglewood. We had the bedroom which had been added on to the house in the rear, and it had it's own entrance. You could not enter or leave the room from the main parlor without going outside. The room... More

If you like old charming antique homes with a great breakfast in the morning, this is one of our favorites. We have stayed here many summers to attend Tanglewood and visit the Berkshires. We always have to book early since the rooms go by quickly. We will be returning again this August.

The Jonathan Foote B & B in Lee, MA has been our anniversary weekend get away since 2007. JoAnn and Bruce are such great hosts that it seems like we are coming home each time we visit in the spring. We have stayed in the Tavern Room and find that it meets all of our needs from gas stove when... More

Stayed on the Columbus Day weekend for one night. Property is nicely located on the outskirts of Lee, Mass. ( Lee is in turn a very short drive off the Mass. Turnpike/20/ I-90 making it handy to get to and is close to many other interesting small towns of the Berkshires). However there were no noise issues and the B... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights, and couldn't have asked for more. The location was perfect for a getaway, as it sits on a beautiful 4-acre lot just off of a rural back road. The home itself is wonderful, and is filled with old furniture that gives it a perfect old New England charm. The 1778 House is... More

My husband and I just spent a delightful 3-day weekend at the Jonathan Foote House in Lee. We've been to many b&b's in the Berkshires and this one is the best! Impeccably maintained, ideally situated, with delectable breakfasts, it features elegant simplicity. The rooms are simple, but with all the right touches: top notch shampoo/conditioner provided via dispensers in the... More
