The Jonathan Foote House is perfect for a getaway. The hosts are friendly and helpful; the setting is a beautiful antique colonial filled with period furnishings. We were there for a winter weekend, but the setting would be just as lovely at any season. The location is also excellent: just off the Mass. Turnpike, a short drive to Lenox, Stockbridge,... More

This was our 4th time staying at this lovely 1778 house -- we LOVE it. JoAnn and Bruce, who run this B&B are wonderful hosts. I(Sara) grew up in a Columbia County, NY farmhouse, two rooms of which were built in the late 1700s, spent a lot of time in the Berkshires growing up. We both now love to spend... More

We spent an overnight at the Jonathan Foote 1778 house before a day of skiing at Butternut right after Christmas. Our hostess Joanne was very charming and extremely welcoming, with just the right balance between conversation and privacy. Adorable Ceili, their golden retriever was very affectionate and waited to be called before approaching us. Beautiful, impeccably kept home with lovely... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful inn in the Berkshire hills. We were given a warm welcome by the lovely Joanne, Bruce and Ceili the dog. Our room was spacious and a delight to return to after a day of sightseeing. Joanne's scrumptious breakfasts are a must have and not to be missed. Everyday was different and sourced... More

We chose the Jonathan Foote because it was close to Tanglewood and had a suite which provided some privacy for our son traveling with us, but was more affordable than two rooms elsewhere because we shared a bath between us in the suite. I'm glad our logistical needs led us to choose this lovely spot. Joann and Bruce were gracious... More

Went for a getaway weekend with my husband. Didn't know too much about it before we went so we weren't sure what to expect. Well, we won the lottery with this place for sure !! Let's start with the beds. We are both extremely fussy about our sleeping comfort when we are away. It couldn't have been better than here.... More

A really delightful B&B slightly and happily off the beaten path in the Berkshires. Comfortable and spacious rooms, quiet with a beautiful yard and shady trees, outside area for a delicious homemade breakfast by Joanne (no store-bought muffins for her!), and close to everything the Berkshires has to offer. Reasonably priced, not stuffily decorated as some B&B's tend to be,... More

We were on a 4 week driving trip through New England staying primarily in small inns and b&bs. The Jonathan Foote 1778 House was one of our favorites of the whole 4 weeks. We were in the area to visit the Rockwell Museum in Lenox and do some backroading as well. We were thrilled that we had found such a... More

We had the privilege of being former neighbors of the proprietors of the Jonathan Foote House. At that time their home was the most charming and well-appointed for miles, and they were warm and gracious people. Well, nothing has changed. Only JoAnne and Bruce could care for this historic and beautiful home in the manner it deserves. Each suite is... More

Wonderful experience! We stayed in Sarah's room, antiques everywhere, flowery wallpaper and the best bed I ever slept on. Back at the B&B after a great meal in downtown Lee (restaurant Salmon Run), you can taste a glass of blackberry licor while read beautiful books about the Berkshires. The breakfast is cooked and served by JoAnn, each plate tastier than... More
