I walked in and found you had rooms available. Amber had a lot of patience with the person on the phone. The homemade cookies were tasty. Offered ice water or tea. I loved the history of the Inn, the large size room with high ceiling and the school chalkboards. The amenities were wonderful. It was an easy walk to dinner... More

We just spent 2 wonderful nights at this gorgeous inn. The history of this place is explained extensively elsewhere. We were quite pleased that the inn is set back quite a ways from noisy main street. We were concerned that one of the reviews stated the train, which runs behind the inn, is a constant nuisance. We did hear the... More

I stayed in the schoolhouse suites with my mother and my 10 year old daughter for one night as we started our road trip and it was wonderful! Service was impeccable - the woman at the front desk who greeted us was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was prompt and scrumptious - we had to leave early, so it was... More

Everything was perfect! The nicest people work at Chambery and they went the extra mile to help with my computer. The size of the rooms is great, far larger than average, and the beds so, so comfortable. I love breakfast brought to the door. Sometimes it's nice to just sit quietly in the room and enjoy breakfast without having to... More

Of all the Inns and Hotels we stayed in during this trip, The Chambery gets the "Top of the Tree" accolade. Everything about this establishment was brilliant, from the whirlpool bath to the hand delivered breakfast in the morning. All boxes ticked and each deserving of a gold star. The staff were excellent, always there when you needed them but... More

On my many trips to Tanglewood I've passed Chambery Inn and longed for a look inside. I remember how the building was saved and actually moved a block to its current location. On a whim I stopped in looking for a one night stay. I was graciously greeted by Nancy and Julie. They were so welcoming and told me that... More

Have stayed here a number of times and will likely return in the future. Big, well maintained very private rooms in this restored schoolhouse offer all one would expect including comfortable bed, nice linens, and bath robes. The morning breakfast in the room is well prepared and generous. The staff is always cordial and accommodating. The location is convenient, albeit... More

From the courtesy call while we were on the road, with explicit directions for a late arrival to the fresh cookies, this was a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast was served in a basket right on the time of your choice. The room size was adequate. A separate towel was provided for make-up removal. The was a charger port for... More

Two friends and I went to the Berkshires for our annual Women's Weekend Away, and could not have had better accommodations than this converted schoolhouse at the edge of the main street of town. The room was huge and featured a sitting area, a lovely shower/jacuzzi and interesting decor. The included breakfast was personalized and left at the door each... More

When my husband and I are away from home and really like where we're staying, we find ourselves unconsciously referring to the place as "home" as in "After dinner, let's go home and relax instead of going out." This happened with the Chambery Inn. With the inn being a converted parochial school, with the two sets of stairs - one... More
