First let me start by saying that I read tripadvisor before going on holiday to advert any unforseen calmity that other readers know about. That being said, I read reviews of The Inn at Laurel Lake...both good and bad and I was still unsure. It was our anniversary and I wanted it to be special. I also called another very... more

The Inn is on a beautiful lake-with weather almost perfect-it was fantastic to have the availability of the lake almost every day. This is a very casual Inn that has not be updated in many years-however the Lake and its location so close to all the sights neutralized the lack of up-keep of the Inn itself. For those who want... more

My wife and I just got back from this inn. While it is a bed and breakfast, it is unlike any we have ever stayed at. It is over three stories tall, and in general the rooms are quite small. The grounds are lovely, overlooking and with several accesses to the lake which is beautiful. Tom and his staff (his... more

I have visited the Inn with my husband for a few years now, and although I will readily admit that it wasn't the cleanest place on earth, one has to understand that the house is well over 200 years old. That being said, Tom has done a great number of renovations and says he intends to do even more in... more

It has been my extreme pleasure to have stayed at the Inn at Laurel Lake many times. I will always go there when there is an opportunity to visit Tanglewood and the Berkshires. Tom is a great host, Angela is a great cook-chef, and Julie gives a great massage. I have been there as a single, double and with grandchildren.... more

My Parents and I, along with my 2 daughters stayed for three nights at this bed and breakfast. It was messy, there was an unlocked door at the front of the property and there were no innkeepers around. My room, which was horrid, scared my 2 daughters so much, that they wanted to sleep in the car. The bathroom door... more

Another reviewer mentioned that if this inn were rented with a large party and a happy occasion, then he/she may have had a brighter outlook. Well, we stayed at the Inn at Laurel Lake in October for a family member's wedding, and we were VERY disappointed. When we arrived we waited about 10 minutes before we were greeted by Tom... more

Having read good and bad reviews about this place, we can see how both can be true! Yes, it is quaint and quirky, the floors slope and the paint peels a bit. On the other hand, staying there during the height of the Tanglewood season we were charmed by its friendliness. It really is like staying with a family of... more

Our party of two couples from the UK had originally planned to spend our 4 nights at the nearby Best Western Black Swan (which also fronts directly onto Laurel Lake) having greatly enjoyed our stay there several years back. We did not because of adverse comments on Tripadvisor about "scruffy" cabins adjacent to the site etc. In the event these... more

I stayed at the Inn in early spring on a spontaneous trip to the Berkshires from Boston trying to beat the summer crowds. I found the Inn at Laurel Lake quite charming. The Innkeeper, Tom, his family and staff were all friendly and accommodating. I loved my stay there. If you are looking for a traditional hotel, this Inn is... more
