Innkeeper Bill and the ladies that work at the Inn go out of their way to make your stay feel as if you are at a Home away from home. Lovely to see pups and their people when on vacation. The food is unapologetically not gourmet, as Bill states, but it's just like being at a relative's for a weekend.... More

Thanks Nicole. Good revues like this are really a two-way street. People like you that enjoyed the place are the very people we are looking to get. We aren't formal and try to make your stay relaxing, casual and enjoyable. When you say it was casual and fun, BINGO, we say thanks for being the exact kind of guests we... More

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Simmons Homestead Inn. We had been looking for a dog friendly place to stay for a short relaxing getaway. We cannot say enough good things about this place. We were warmly greeted by Bill upon our arrival & throughout our trip he was wonderful giving us such great information about things... More

Lovely old Inn. Very central to all of the Cape. Our room was on the first floor and very cozy. The common areas were very comfortable, though a little worn. The wine hour was a good way to meet the other visitors and compare notes of our plans and restaurants for dinner. Dog friendly, in addition to being exceptionally people... More

The owner , Bill, is a character -- but not as warm and caring as the website makes out. If you want kitsch, and strange, and funky, and you don't mind a bit of seedy -- this is the place for you! His staff are caring and excellent people. Chemically enhanced breakfast is included. Love that there are no locks... More

Try to please everyone (and the dogs), but guess we can't please 'em all. Recent folks seem happy most of the time though. More

I'm surprised this got so many great reviews??? I stayed last year with my husband and will never return. First of all, we arrived and I thought the hotel had some quirkiness, it smelled of an old damp house. We get to our room, that was wide open, with no key and no way to lock it once we leave...?!?... We enjoyed our stay at this Inn. I admit when we first walked in I was skeptical. It seemed very cluttered (and it is) but that is part of the charm. There are knickknacks every where and it was fun to look at the collected treasures. The Inn is in an old building. We stayed in the Pacific room and... More

It is fun to get people from far away and we try extra hard to make sure their trip out here was worth it. That's one of the fun parts of innkeeping. And good guests is another fun part. More

My family and I came across with this B&B when looking in the internet for vacation condos or homes to rent for our summer week vacation in MA. I am glad I found it. Bill is an excellent host, very accommodating and we love his race RED cars collections. Both, my 14 year old nephew and 11 year old niece... More

It is fun to get a big family mob out here.First, they really take care of themselves and make it easy on the rest of us. Also they enjoy doing a bunch of things every day and we know how to help them that way. And teens tend to sleep late, miss breakfast and help keep our costs lower :-) More

Wonderful Time Staying at the Simmons Homestead Inn Over the Fathers Day weekend in 2014. My wife booked this stay for us in Hyannis, so that we could go to the Father's Day car show, that is held every year in down town Hyannis. Bill our innkeeper and host is a fountain of knowledge about Hyannis, the cape and especially... More

Ah, you picked the perfect time for car nuts to come to the Simmons Homestead. Our 40 some odd red ones here at the Inn and so 400 up and down Main Street on Fathers Day. Well Planned! And as you said, the Inn is a great place most any time. Thanks to the 3 of you, Bill More

Read all the TA reviews, especially the negative ones. That’s our takeaway from this trip. We scanned TA quickly, saw this was rated #1 of 2 B&Bs in Hyannis, and booked. Bad move. While some of the reviews are positive, many spoke to the issues we experienced. The owner’s responses to these were defensive and dismissive. While we could be... More

I totally agree you should read the revues. If you look at the last 25, you'll see 18-5s, 6-4s and this 1-1. Also the next one after this is a 5. I agree the canopy was just too used. it was over 50 years old and constant washing kinda pulled on it. We took it off and frankly the room... More

Spring, 2014 Are you headed to the Cape? Maybe you’re bringing your “pups” or just yourselves. Either way, we heartily recommend that you check out The Simmons Homestead Inn of Hyannis Port. My husband and I headed to Cape Cod this past May and have 2 medium to large size dogs. After searching for “pet friendly accommodations” the Simmons Homestead... More

We enjoy dogs and their folks. I get my dog fix from most every one of them. Can't see why more places don't take dogs or if they do they have strict rules. I figure people won't travel with the pup or pups if it's not well behaved and that is the case in 95% of the time. But, we also... More
