We liked almost everything about this place. Great service, excellent room, nice bed, good amenities, excellent location, terrific views, wonderful breakfast. The only problem was that we couldn't figure out how to keep the air conditioning unit from blowing right on the bed, so we couldn't sleep with it on, and we were too hot with it off. Maybe if... more

My family and I took a chance at staying at somewhere other than a "chain" type hotel I was worried at first but I after reading the reviews we gave it a try. We had two double beds next to the pool area. Our room was small but very nice and most importantly very clean!!! When we arrived in the... more

Tucked away on Hyannis Harbor, the Anchor In is just a short walk to the Ferries, Tour Boats, waterfront restaurants and Downtown Hyannis. The grounds and scenery are lovely, and a generous continental breakfast is included. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I mentioned at booking that it was our 20th anniversary, and a split of... more

Delighted with our long weekend stay in room 138. My husband and I travel extensively and are choosy about where we stay and we were not disappointed. I understand this is a family hotel and it shows in the way they take care of their guests. I was greeted with smiles from the beginning. Our room was cozy and immaculate... more

My spouse & I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May, in the "West Barnstable" room (deluxe), directly overlooking the hotel pool and the harbour just beyond it. The room was large, a bit dark but came with a equally sized balcony accessible via sliding doors, which we were unable to utilize much due to the weather.... more

Stayed at the Anchor In end of May 2009. Even if the weather was not like we were expected we had a warm welcome at the reception desk. Very friendly people working there. We were allocated the room 129 and I must say it was perfect. Overlooking the harbour, with a small balcony (that we, because of the weather, were... more

My husband and I stayed here for our second baby moon. When we pulled up to it after 7 hours of driving & we thought we were going to be disappointed. The front doesn't look like much. And the town of Hyannis is not much of anything either except Main Street. If you are going to stay in Hyannis, this... more

We (two beautiful travel goddesses) loved the Anchor In hotel! We stayed in the best hotel room if you ask me, closest to the harbor bay called Hyannis. It was on the top floor with a private balcony and majestic view of the ships coming/departing. I highly recommend this 'Hyannis' room~beautifully decorated with calming neutral colors. Continental breakfast was acceptable... more

This is a lovely place to stay. We stayed in the west wing deluxe room, all very clean and comfortable, tastefully furnished and surprisingly light room. The breakfast is well worth a mention and we looked forward to it each morning - all very relaxing and just the sort of breakfast we enjoyed. Tea and coffee was available all day... more

We stayed the first weekend in May. We paid 139 a night. Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were nice, a view of the water from our balcony. Walk to shops and restaurants. Breakfast included in a nice breakfast room. Cons: The room was small. The bed was a bit hard. The balcony was shared with... more
