A huge, empty impersonal hotel. I don't know if there are lots of events held here, or it's busy in Summer season, but in October the place was dead. The room worked fine, the few staff we saw were fine, it has a good pool & fitness suite, but it's certainly not 'quaint' or 'characterful'

Front desk staff giving misinformation about room location. NO elevators to guest room on upper floors. Rooms have musty mildewy odor, very unpleasant. Carpeting was dirty, would not step on it in bare feet. Bathroom too small, can hardly turn around. Breakfast not in a pleasant setting, selections not plentiful Would not ever want to stay there again. There are... More

This hotel is laid out horribly! If you have mobility issues (steps) I would not recoomend it at all. There were several large conferences scheduled during our two night stay, one was an annual AA conference for young adults, who I would assume were trying to prove that you could be loud and rowdy WITHOUT the aid of alcohol! The... More

I too was there for a conference and was treated very well by staff. But, the hotel, as others have noted is damp and moldy smelling. The king size bed was very comfy. Love the fridge. If the A/C was on, the room felt damp and smelled. I tried the heat, no change. Keeping the fan on helped a bit.... More

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, however this was not enough to compensate for the dark, dismal and damp room. The combined noise of the humidifier and the air conditioning unit was akin to being on board an aircraft! However if you turned it off the smell of dampness was overpowering. On the ground floor, we looked out onto... More

We stay at lots of older hotels in New Orleans, Charleston, etc., and we just love them. This is an older hotel -- not nearly as old as ones we have stayed in before, but it is very worn. Carpeting is old, wallpaper is old -- our room was very musty. In fact it had a dehumidifier running in it... More

This is an old facility and the smell of mold abounds in the rooms. was there for a conference and could not wait to check out. The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms are old and the beds very small. The rooms with two beds were 3/4 beds not even full size. Hard for 2 people to sleep... More

Customer service and the people who work there are top notch and extremely friendly, however, the hotel needs major updating! Rooms were typical, nothing special and so was the decor of the rest of the hotel. Pool was good, but there were only about 3 umbrellas. They do have an indoor pool as well, but the lifeguard was more interested... More

The room wreaked of mildew. We stayed for 6 nights; and I don't believe the the room was vacuumed or sheets changed except once when it was requested. Front desk people were very accommodating, but the rooms were shabby. The lack of any soundproofing in the ceiling made it seem as if a herd of elephants stayed above us.

It's amazing this place can be called a resort! Room was unclean, especially the bathroom. AC unit and refrigerator rattled all nights we were there. Front desk staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. And the Starbucks kiosk was a joke. Would never stay again!!
