My wife and I just spent a wonderful romantic evening at this little inn. Lucky we found this little gem after spur of the moment decision to sneak away....quiet and comfy, spacious room, absolutely spotless, charming, and a nice homemade breakfast to start the day. Long-time inkeepers clearly have a knack and the love for the business. Great location to... more

Innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating. Our rooms were spacious with seating area and desk plus a very comfortable queen size bed. The Inn is a short drive from the center of Great Barrington. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fruit, cereal, sweet breads, plus a hot entree - or all of the above! Liked best: Spacious common rooms and... more

My wife and I and our two daughters (7 and 12) just got back from staying at the Windflower for four nights during ski season and we really loved it there. The beautiful old inn has a very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. John and Claudia, the owners, were very pleasant and helpful without being imposing at all. Our room was large... more

We spent Valentine's day weekend at Windflower and as always, it was a pleasure. Claudia & John Ryan are great proprietors and charming hosts. Claudia makes the best breakfasts! We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. more

We knew nothing about the Windflower Inn before we booked our 5 day trip to The Berkshires - but when we walked through the door, we knew we made the right decision. We were greeted with tea and homemade cookies, a generously sized room, including a working fireplace and soaking tub (private bath). The bed was very comfortable and breakfast... more

I spend a great deal of time in Great Barrington for family holidays and am often in the position of needing to find a place to lay my head. In these situations the Windflower is always the first place I call. The large sitting room is always a welcome comfort and the owners could not be more accommodating. Breakfast is... more

We had a wonderful time at the Windflower. We enjoyed the company of other guests sitting around the fire in the common sitting area. The Innkeepers could not have been friendlier, and their cottage cheese pancakes at breakfast and ginger cookies (served in the afternoon with tea) were outstanding! We also loved our room, which was clean and spacious with... more

Expected more. The inn itself was physically charming however the rooms were dirty and dusty. There was dust on the light bulbs, at the window sills and dustballs that appeared from underneath furniture. The room smelled musty and I had to immediately open all of the windows. Additionally, there was an incredible smell of mold when you first enter the... more

We travel every year to the Rhinebeck Antique Show and it is hard to find room around that time of the year, so we decided to stay in the Berkshire Mountains. We found the Windflower on the internet. We stayed three nights and the room and service were excellent. Breakfast was served at a reasonable time of the morning. Our... more
