For two-night (return) stay we had a very clean comfortable room with both firm & soft pillows on the terrific bed. This is a modest hotel with a really pleasant professional staff. Oh lord where do I begin? There aren't many "chain" hotels to stay at in the area and as a Priority Club points member I try and find HI's or HI Expresses. We stayed here one night for skiing the next day. It was clean, but I agree with the previous reviewers that the walls are very thin. We were on the first floor, and heard stomping from the second. It's very clean, the beds super comfortable, the staff nice, and it's very close to Butternut. "Hot" breakfast is passable at best.... more

Stayed here for one night, after a night in North Adams at the Holiday Inn. We felt like we had checked into a Four Seasons in comparison. The Holiday Inn Express (GB) was very clean and up-to-date with textiles and hard surfaces. Remember, it's a budget chain hotel: it is what it is. But, the North Adams HI was unacceptable.... more

This Hotel is like a wonderful bed and breakfast which happens to be a national franchise. The whole staff is wonderful and caring. The property is six years old but is very well maintained. It is clean and spacious. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast bar has great choices. I stay there when traveling on business and on leisure. more
