We pulled up to the Thornewood Inn. It looked quite quaint from the outside. As soon as we walked in to see if there was a room available, we knew we had to stay there & got lucky that someone had just cancelled. Live jazz music was playing in the restaurant. The food smelled delicious & was! We had a... More

My adult daughter and I just stayed at Thornewood for two nights. The inn is in a beautiful location and is full of country-inn charm. The main floor - public rooms and dining rooms - has a stunning layout, one lovely room and view leading to another, and is furnished with appealing antiques. The spacious grounds (and pool) are beautifully... More

The owners of Thornewood Inn are exceptionally welcoming, warm and inviting. We had some wonderful conversations with them and they made excellent recommendations for what we needed to do in the area. Both Terry and David are incredibly lovely, helpful intelligent people. Terry is an amazing cook.....everything we ate was delicious and we all ordered different food. And And her... More

Spent the weekend with friends at the Thornwood Inn and had a great stay. The Inn is warm and welcoming and the innkeepers David and Terry are lovely. Also had a nice dinner one night at the Inn. It was quiet here in April, yet they still had live music in the dining room which was very nice. The rooms... More

Skied Butternut all day Saturday (12/28/13) and checked in at the Thornewood Inn that night. My girlfriend and I were warmly greeted by Terry and David, who spent a few minutes going over all the inn's amenities, suggesting and recommending activities around the area, answering our questions, and inviting us to dinner at the restaurant located at the inn later... Cons: 1) Second floor rooms are a walk-up. This is a traditional New England B&B, so you have to schlep your bags upstairs. Elevators don't exist (and my wife packs for a trip to an African Safari). 2) VERY quiet. Outside of comfy conversations in front of the fire downstairs, the only sound was that of the wind... Maybe it's... More

Just got back from a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner at this quaint inn in the Berkshires. Food was very tasty and plentiful. The relaxed atmosphere made the entire experience worth the trip. We really enjoyed the friendly, attentive and helpful staff who went out of there way to ensure that the members of our party with dietary restrictions were accommodated. This... More

We were greeted warmly by Morgan who is the granddaughter of the Innkeepers. Terry served us bedtime cocktails in the cozy bar. Great selection of Scotch and Irish Whiskeys. Slept well in the "Lady Morgan" room and enjoyed our made to order hot breakfast. Learned that pets are accepted without additional charge in the carriage units, how nice is that?... More

We ended up overpaying for this place because I used booking.com and didn't look at all the prices available! So $225 a night was too expensive, as opposed to the $185 I found out too late was offered elsewhere! The decor could definitely use a face-lift , as everything looked a bit threadbare, and our bathroom was tiny. The pillows... More

We - a family of four - stayed four nights at the Thornewood Inn while attending a wedding in Stockbridge mid October. We stayed in the Garden Suite #2 - large and sunny, with garden views and ideal for a family. Room had one very comfy king size bed and two twin beds for the kids in a separate room.... More
