Prospect Lake Park is more of a trailer park than a campground. Most of the people in campers/trailers that were there when my family and I visited seemed to live there. They had gardens, walkways and decks. We felt like we were invading they're space by being there. We were the only people increments in the entire row we were... More

I love Prospect Lake Park and have stayed at least one week a year since 2006. I have seen and heard of the negative reviews but I think in this case you have to experience the campground and make your own decision. The lake is beautiful, we enjoy swimming, kayaking and just enjoying good times with friends around the campfire.... More

I have been to a lot of camp grounds and this is the worse one EVER!!! We no sooner got to the camp grounds and found the guard shack empty and a call button to let you in. So I pressed it and the first words out of the person on the other end said what do you want? OK... More

If you don't want a lovely vacation time ruined by a hostile and irrational campground owner then don't go to Prospect Lake Park (PLP). I see that some reviewers have enjoyed their time there but why take the chance? My family has been going to PLP, on and off, for more than 25 years during the tenure of previous owners.... More

I admit I was very nervous after reading many of the reviews. It turns out I was pleasantly surprised. We rented one of the "rustic" cabins Columbus Day Weekend with a group of friends. The cabins are rustic but clean. Our group contained people of all ages including a 5 year old that loved the tall spiral slide. We parked... More

wonderful location in southern Berkshires, great towns nearby, total worth the upgrade to lake front campsite. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the city for a weekend. Perfect for the fall and for fun outdoor activities in the mountains.

I've read quite a few negative reviews about this campground. Well, I just came back from my first visit there with a bunch of friends. We rented 5 cabins, all in a row. A few of the cabins were exactly the same setup, but a couple were different inside. All are "rustic". Each have a range and full sized refrigerator.... More

Went here as a group for labor day weekend. Started off decent - was only $36 per person for the long weekend, had bathrooms with showers right near our site and a faucet actually on the site. They also have halfway-decent basketball and tennis courts. Went downhill after that, though. Severe thunderstorms were just bad luck, but the owners seriously... More

on january 13, i booked a 6-night stay to begin on 8 august. we were attending a wedding nearby and i spoke to the owner about the distance between the campground and each of the FIVE events we would be attending in the area. i also told him we had 4 dogs and he reminded me we needed current paperwork...
