I stayed at the Julietta House for almost a month while relocating to Gloucester. My experience there was close to perfect. The home itself is rich with character, history and restored architectural detail. The location is within walking distance to the downtown area which includes many great restaurants, shops, library, museums, the 'Y', etc. Julietta House has a large, updated... more

We rent all the rooms of this wonderful historic house yearly for our annual reunion to reconnect with old friends, kick back and relax. The owners are very accomodating and see to our every need. The kitchen is stocked with all essentials for cooking and the atmosphere is so condusive for catching up. It's a very clean and comfortable home.... more

We stayed here with our 2 kids to do a little swimming at the beach. While it's not on the beach, it is close to all the good restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, etc which is good for a long term stay. We were there for a week. Our interactions with the owner (Susan) were minimal but she was very helpful/knowledgeable and... more

Unfortunately, I have very little to say that is positive regarding my experience at Julietta House. My family rented the entire property for a reunion/holiday. When we arrived we were excited by the location & the exterior of the house seemed lovely. The rooms were decent at best. The kitchen was unacceptable & the rules posted all over the kitchen... more

Let me begin with the most bogus lies in this review. First, The reviewer tricks you into thinking that she was my customer. "Her family" did not rent the house. Her cousin contacted me early fall and filled out an application making claims of very light use which led to a substantial discount for his Grandmother who actually paid for...

I called this inn today because I plan to attend a wedding in a couple of weeks in Gloucester. When I told the owner that my two married sisters might also want rooms, I got the opposite reaction than I had expected: she said that she was not sure if she would accept my reservation and insisted that I should... more

Clearly a Major Miscommunication. This adult male caller asked first for the lowest price of one room for one person. Then inquired about renting the whole house. This in itself gives us pause. My explanations; that the house was for 16 people and that I would require an application to rent the house in order to assess the appropriate price...

My wife, twins, and I were coming in for a wedding and were booked at the Cape Ann Motor Inn. This was one of three choices given in the "wedding weekend invitation packet" received earlier in the year. We booked it since one property didn't answer (off season) and another had a three-night minimum. The day before our departure we... more

We stayed here for a night in June and enjoyed it greatly. It's a well renovated place with all the nice historic details. You can get a good impression of the place by checking their website. The photos you find online accurately characterise the place. You can get very good deals for the place on the internet. And the rooms... more

My friend and I wanted a weekend away at the ocean and were very pleased to find this excellent accommodation. The house is beautiful, Susan the owner, is friendly and charming and the location couldn't be better. The whole place is homey, cheerful and impeccably clean. When I called to make the reservation, Susan was very clear in her directions... more

I stayed for 2 nights at the Julietta House and was appalled by the lack of security. When I walked up to the door, after passing by the overgrown, weed-filled lawn, there was a note posted that stated if you had a reservation to look in the fishing basket on the porch. Inside was my registration envelope and room key.... more

No Excuses. This customer arrived to an unweeded garden and blue Ralph Lauren flowery pillow cases mismatched to brown/green houndstooth Ralph Lauren sheets. All 350 count mind you, but not our normal esthetic. However, this customer was advised that we no longer offered breakfast, but the kitchen was available to our guests and out of concern for diabetics, I leave...
