We just spent 5 nights at this hotel with our 7-yr-old grandson and had a wonderful time! I was a little apprehensive before checking in, as I'm quite picky about hotels. But I have been very pleased. Here're what we liked about the place: - We had a 2nd floor 2-queen-bed room in the ocean front building. The room was... More

Me and wife stayed here for two nights, I was concerned because we usually stay at 5 star hotels and Gloucester does not have any. Well I was wrong we found one!! My concerns were put to ease when we checked in, the staff was great and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying in one of suits in the main... More

This is a splendidly located inn on the granite shore just outside Gloucester. Great location with stunning views and fantastic shoreline walks. Rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms, though small, are adequate. Air con and heating work fine. Staff generally are excellent with the exception of some of the waiting staff at breakfast. And there's the problem: the breakfast ! Totally inadequate... More

Just spent 4 nights at Bass Rocks and the location and view is absolutely stunning! I really enjoyed the heated pool and fire pit. The grounds and rooms are very clean and I liked having ample supply of water and breakfast provided daily. The room is basic motel (but clean) and a very small bathroom but you pay for the... More

We have been going to the Bass Rocks since it was a Best Western years ago. There have been a lot of updates, including a new pool, hot tub, and gas flame fire pit. This is a perfect location right on the granite shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean. You also have a great view of the Twin Lighthouses. Did I... More

Yes..it's a glorified motel. The main room where a sub par breakfast of canned fruit salad, or totally unripened rock hard or green bananas and baseball nectarines, mini noses of cereal, sugar laden yoghurt cups, and all heavy low quality breads was has beautiful antiques. The very inexperienced "summer kids" will plow into you at the buffet as they hurry... More

The hubs and I stayed here with our two 13-year-olds. The room was roomy and very well-kept- and each one includes a gorgeous ocean view. Staff is friendly and helpful- and breakfast is included! We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Im used to 4 and 5 star accomdations, and although the outside looks okay, the inside lives up to my expectations. It appeared to be all NEW interior, with very comfortable beds. The bathroom is small but I wasnt there to spend time in the bathroom. There is a nice walking path along the ocean that runs a couple miles... More

My husband and I stayed at the inn last week and enjoyed every part of our stay. The service was impeccable, the room was clean and the view was to die for. My husband rode one of the inn's bikes around town while I enjoyed spending time lounging at the pool. We love Good Harbor and had great meals at... More

My wife and I stayed here just this past weekend (July 11-July 14) and couldn't be happier with our experience. We're both very picky when it comes to hotels and the hotel's location. The Bass Rocks Ocean Inn is located across the road from some of the most beautiful Ocean you can see on the East Coast. It's quite literally... More
