A Fall excursion to Cape Ann can't be fully enjoyed without a stay at Bass Rocks. A full breakfast delight,..something for everyone. Rooms are clean and provide a full ocean view. Will return again in the Fall

I stayed here recently with my mom and sister because my mom always wanted to visit Gloucester. Once we got to the hotel we first noticed the incredible view of the ocean. The room we got was very clean and faced right out onto the ocean and had a cute little patio to sit out on. They offer a complimentary... More

Wow, our time here was pricey- but well worth it! We stayed in the Stacey House rooms and I must say they are beautiful! The decor was classy- something I would chose for my own home. The bed was more than comfortable, the view was breathtaking! The cookies were amazing. I cannot comment on the breakfast because after our run... More

Loved our stay. It's about as close as you can get to the water without sleeping in the ocean! The view is spectacular any time of the day, watching the changing of the ocean's moods, its twists and turns - from your room and the perfect balcony setting, or from the benches provided closer to the sea. Our room was... More

We stayed for three nights over a weekend recently. From the wonderful bedding to the amount of pillows, the lending library to the wonderful staff we just really could find no fault. Such helpful staff on reception, genuinely lovely. Great location, nice bikes that anyone could ride. Really, book it! Loved it!!!

We stayed at the Bass Rocks Ocean Inn this past weekend. It was extremely clean and well managed, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts are home made very yummy. Views out of everyone's sliding doors are out to the ocean and are gorgeous. No privacy on the balconies but who cares? You get to meet some interesting folks that... More

We stayed last year for 6 days and stayed this year for 8 days... easy access to Gloucester and there is a train to Rock Port and South Station, Boston. It is all good! Great staff, especially the house-keeping staff, very accommodating and efficient. Can't beat the location.

Very nice hotel on the Atlantic Ocean (Cape Ann). We stayed in late Sept. Pros: Nice large rooms with very comfortable beds, great views from every room of the ocean, plenty of parking, out of the busy areas of town, nice staff, I would say one of the best choices to stay in the area. Cons: Breakfast could be a... More

I can't believe I forgot to review Bass Rocks after my stay there. It was amazing. I stayed in one of the suites in the main house of the hotel and it was beautiful. There was a small kitchenette as you came in the door, a sitting room, and a bedroom area (all in one large space) with a gas... More
