For $65-75 a night you can get a sweet, sound, warm, clean room with a view of the water in Gloucester's working harbor. In New England, such low prices for overnight lodgings are almost unheard of! (unlike out West). The Crow's Nest looks like it might be divey and seedy but it isn't: these are simple accommodations but they are... More

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in late August. We wanted to visit Gloucester, but were finding it hard to get a reasonably price room. Read the reviews and thought we'll give it a try. The Crow's Nest is situated on a fairly busy road, but we had a room on the 2nd floor at the back.... More

The rooms are not plush, but very comfortable and extremely clean. NIce hot showers and great water pressure. We had a great night sleep. At $75 per night, it's a great value for those who don't mind the basics. We loved the bar and the locals. They were extremely friendly and we shared stories about fishing Florida vs. Mass. One... This is a great place to stay if you're on a budget and want to see Gloucester. For $75.00 per night I had a room on the 2nd floor facing the front. Room was clean and everything worked. Beginning a single woman I had no problem going into the bar and picking up a key. No one bothered me. I... More

First impressions are that you collect your key from a raucous bar on the wharf. Don't be surprised if they assume you are a prostitute taking a man to a room.. Once you get upstairs the room is BRAND NEW! The street is noisy but the price is half of what you pay in other local places. It is clean... More

Staying at the crow's nest, expect a special experience. Very far from luxury, even from average motel (old fashioned, or rather plain old furniture, months of dust on semi-broken shades, etc), but gives you a unique feel of the fishermen town of Gloucester. In the summer, where you are mostly out of your room anyway, it is probably the best... More

Just spent 2 nights at the dirtiest, nastiest, hotel .. locals quoted:are you kidding me you can't stay there you women are crazy...awoken at 2:30am to the sounds of a rumble in the next room, people screaming outside the bar. Just pure filth...the ac didn't work,it was so full of dust/dirt that we had to wipe off to see if... More

If you are out for an adventure - Stay on top of the Crows nest bar - a real hang out for fishermen and what ever hangs around in the harbour area. Check in at the bar (very friendly) and walk UP the street to the back of the building. If you can work out the keys and find the... More

The room was clean, but outdated. Our room was on the second floor, so it helped cut down on the noise from the bar, but no elevator so lots of stairs. If you have small children I would stay elsewhere. The stairs were steep and concrete. There is no parking so you have to search for a place in front... More
