We booked our trip late and needed a convenient spot that was right for three young kids (i.e. not a quaint B&B), and the Sea Lion fit the bill. We stayed in the cottage which was a little spartan but was very roomy and spotless. The A/C's worked great when it was too hot for just open windows. There is... More

My husband and I took our son and his friend on vacation this year. 1st time staying at the Sea lion. It was the best experience! The pool was clesn. The room was spotless. The view was amazing. I usually have a hard time sleeping away from home, I slept like a rock each night. The location is convenient to... More

before going on Whale Watch (7 Seas, which we recommend). The property is very convenient and charming; service was very good as well. We left the next morning early, so cannot comment on breakfast. Queen bed in the room we had (forget the room number) was not very comfortable so one night as all we could have managed.

From the call for reservations with Sabrina & Pat to our initial greeting and checking in with Michelle, getting help from Mona to checking out these folks understand the meaning of Accommodations. The place was clean and made provisions to make our stay for my wife and for kids. Highly recommend.

We were there last week on vacation, and had a great stay! My family and I spent a lot of time in the pool which was always kept clean...the rooms were clean, nice, and spacious... we stayed in a room on the first floor and you could hear people walking and kids jumping at night, when you flushed the commode... I would love to be more generous with this review, as first and foremost - the staff was most courteous and accommodating. This motel is nice, but ultimately average. Out of courtesy to the staff and owners of the Sea Lion, I would like to make sure that it is known that they went out of their way to try... More

Stayed here for 1 night, booked online which was convenient and easy. Motel is a little way out of Gloucester (but only a 10 min drive) but there are shops just down the road in walking distance. Stayed here based on price and previous reviews. Good, warm spacious room with free wi-fi. Does have a pool but was closed as... More

We recently stayed in Gloucester for a few days and stayed at the Sea Lion Motel. The room was big and clean, and they provide the basics. They do serve coffee and some basic breakfast items but we didn't have any. We were comfortable and had a pleasant stay and would go back.

While this "Inn" looks pretty nice on the outside, we were disappointed in the room. It smelled of mildew, the mattress was very soft, the bathroom door didn't close entirely, and the toilet flushed explosively so it could wake the dead in the middle of the night. It also had the most complicated TV set-up so we spent nearly 1... More

It is not our practice to either solicit or respond to reviews but we felt that the review titled “watch the peephole” required a response. First, there is no peephole on the outside door. Our neighborhood is very safe and there is a full window adjacent to every door in case you would like to see who is knocking. With... More

The Sea Lion motel has big rooms, sober but very clean and adequate. The beds are very good. Although officially they don't serve breakfast we had fresh coffee, fruit, yoghurt, fresh (non fabric) muffins and donuts, juice, milk and cereal! Service was great as well, so all together we had a very good stay here.
