Beautiful, quiet setting. The rock fire pits were awesome. The people working there were very friendly and helpful when looking for directions. There was a very nice beach right down the road, and you could get a discount pass in their office. We had a small tent and huge campsite. It wasn't really level, but the scenery made up for... This campground is in the woods, loved it. Large sites (some are slightly slanted so it depends what you're camping with). We were in a tent, with a kitchenette and we had lots of room to spare. Had water and electricity on site for $40/night. Staff don't confirm a site number on reservation beforehand so as to let you choose... More

At $30 for a tent site and on Gloucester, it felt like a bargain. The sites are nicely appointed and most seemed spacious albeit not all level. Showers take quarters and were decent, bathrooms could use some sprucing up but decent nonetheless. Plenty of trees for those who need or want to hang a tarp as well as perfect for... More

My husband and I stayed here when we were first married and I was still working in Woburn, he in NYC. Loved the trees, the granite boulders, the beach and easy access to all those great seafood restaurants in and around Essex.

My husband, myself, and my 12 year old brother stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. We were in town for me to run a race (mudrun) and to visit the beach. It was the cheapest place on Cape Ann, and all we had to do was bring a tent! (We brought two actually and had enough space for... More

The location is the biggest selling point of this campground. Being this close to Wingaersheek Beach was awesome. One of the best beaches around, we loved the beach. The campground was very rustic. We had a small site for our 30ft trailer, so we had little space. That was ok, since we were hardly ever at the campground. The campsite... More

We stayed at Cape Ann Campsite for nine days (though we initially reserved for ten) and I haven't ever been so happy to leave a camp ground. The staff was ok, though they pretty much only greet their regulars and therefore can't care less for people passing through. The showers and bathrooms are very old and aren't pleasant to use... The campsite could be nice but its much to old The general store/ registration is in a garage; your groceries are just beside golf carts; Outside you have 3 broken phone booth and two large garbage bins. And all man that kept farting is there all day and opens you garbage to recycle what needs to be... At least they... More

nice place, in the wood, so shady,. Some very quiete places if you like (9we were at the 132, dead end, close from one of washroom facilities, a lot of space). Family style (no party there). Possibility to have electricity and water, or not. Picnic table and beautiful fire pit at each place. Ice cubes and block, wood, some supplies,... More

We had a great time at Cape Ann Camp ground. Very reasonably priced, nice sites, and staff was very friendly. Close to the village too. We'll be back!! Not far from fishing, shopping or site seeing. Camp ground has all the accommodations you will need.
