The Blue Shutters Inn is a great place to stay. I had the pleasure of staying there for my wedding weekend in June 2009. Not only did the owners welcome me with open arms, but they were so undertstanding and helpful to my entire family who stayed there with me. The rooms are clean and have amazing views. The owners... more

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful Labor Day weekend at this warm and friendly home away from home. The two couples who run the Inn, Ed/AnnMarie and Tony/Patty are natural hosts and veterans of the area who seem to know every restaurant hostess when you need a reservation. You can tell they love making people relaxed and happy.... more

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a room at the last minute, due to a cancellation. The room was ocean view, the owners ( ed and tony) were great. We did not have the opportunity to meet the wives, however we will be back without a doubt! Ed is great, it was like we knew him for... more

My 18-year old son just stayed here while taking his scuba diving certification in Rockport. It was hard to find something both affordable and nice in this area. The owner, Ed Comer, was unbelievable, taking my son under his wing for the weekend - not only did he keep a reassuring eye on him, he included him in family dinners... more

This place is literally steps from one of the most fantastic beaches in the Northeast. Real down to earth people own and run this place with fantastic recommendations for sightseeing and dining. An assortment of homemade muffins, breads and really good strong coffee were just the right touch in the morning. I'm not the B & B type and was... more

The Blue Shutters Inn is a wonderful bed and breakfast right on Good Harbor. The views are fabulous. The owners are wonderful people. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Everything was neat and clean. The atmosphere was completely relaxing. They even allow children and one night stays which is a rarity for... more

The location can't be beaten at this place, so with trepidation we made reservations. I even packed our own sheets and pillows just in case the ones provided were scary -- we'd checked out the inside of this place over the last few years and it was a bit swilly, but I was willing to be flexible for a hotel... more

My wife and two sons (ages 6 and 9) were pleasantly surprised that Blue Shutters Inn happens to be on our favorite beach in all of Massachusetts, Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. That was enough of an incentive for us to give it a try for a weekend. The Blue Shutter Inn's priceless location combined with great service and truly... more

Stayed at the Blue Shutters Years ago and was not impressed. However since the new owners have taken over, the place has a totally new look and feel. It is warm and welcoming, clean and spacious. The management staff was very helpful in recommending local places to visit and places to eat. I will make the Blue Shutters Beachside an... more

Not having been born in Gloucester I cannot claim 'native status' but having been a 4 season visitor for the past 30+ years I can speak with some authority as to the state of things on Good Harbour Beach. The Blue Shutters Inn, at One Nautilus Road, has been a favorite destination for many years, returning this year has found... more
