It certainly has delightful views of the beach. The layout of the hotel causes a few issues. We had chosen a room with it's own bathroom, which was across the corridor, but clearly marked as belonging to our room. We shared it with our friends next door, but kept finding other people using it. The hotel was very full when... More

Steps from the beach (quite literally). Immaculate. Lovely Hosts. Great for the kids (2 and 6) with ocean waves and tidal pools to play in. Lifeguards on duty. Could not imagine a better beach getaway. We didn't need to bring much of anything except our bathing suits and sunscreen. Easy shopping within walking distance and a barbecue set up on... More

Smokers (usually so maligned) will love this place as there were ashtrays outdoors for them. Location, location, location - perfect. Clean and comfortable but not classy. The rooms ranged from adequate to very nice. Only some have water views, but the accomodations may outweigh the lack of view - some have porches and kitchens but no view. HOWEVER - the... More

Location, location, location! Very nice place, hospitable hosts, right by the beach without being directly on it. Breakfast was a few simple items you could help yourself to but that was enough for us. I left my swimsuit there and they called to make me aware of it. They promised to send it to me and I am currently waiting... More

We were looking for a quaint place/beach to getway to for a few days. We found exactly what were looking for at Good Harbor Beach and the Blue Shutters Inn. Good Harbor Beach is a hidden gem. The Blue Shutters Inn was just a short walk to the beach. The Inn was clean, quaint and comfortable. The owners at the... More

We loved our stay at Blue Shutters Beachside Inn. The innkeepers were gracious, hospitable, accommodating and helpful. Our room was clean, nicely decorated and had great views of ocean and light houses. The location is fantastic - across the street and over a footbridge to the beautiful Good Harbor Beach. There are picnic tables and a fire pit at the... More

We spent a relaxing week at the Blue Shutters Beachside Inn in Gloucester in early July. This is a lovely inn steps away from Good Harbor Beach. The rooms are clean and charming.....a lovely spread of pastries, granola and other goodies awaited us each morning (and ready early, too) with hot coffee and tea to get your day started! Our... We recently had the pleasure of staying here. We were greeted upon arrival by one of the innkeepers and shown to our room. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters. Queen size bed and private bath. That evening after dinner, we returned to the inn to fine a fire in the fire pit. Other guests were sitting around the fire and... More

I just got back from a 4 night trip here and loved my stay. The two major draws to Blue Shutters are the location and the comfort of the inn. The location is kind of insane, it's a very short walk to the "other end" of Good Harbor Beach by a footbridge and an estuary that kids love to play... More

The innkeepers were charming and so accommodating. From the room's decor to to lovely view of sunrise every day -- from our room or the living room -- this was an enchanting place to stay on the coast.
