Have stayed with Colonial many times and the rooms are getting worse. Holes in blankets - sheets you can see through - wash clothes - torn in shreds (hard to shower with). Colonial you've done a wonderful job re restaurant update/ spa and weddings but you are taking advantage of those who have to stay there. Put some $$$$ into... More

I was participating in a conference which was held at the Colonial. It's a classic-looking, grand old place. Desk clerk was down to business and got me headed off to my room with appropriate instructions as to where things were happening. The room was adequate and clean, though the heat was hard to moderate. The bedspreads were thin and a... More

We checked into the hotel, and my husband signed a paper at check-in that he was told was their "no smoking policy". We went to the room, settled in and and made ourselves a drink. Went down to the lobby to greet friends, with cups in hand, and never gave it a thought. In the lobby we were practically assaulted... More

We planned a visit to the area for grandson's birthday but the Hilton Inn in Leominster where we usually stay was booked. My daughter who lives locally did not approve of any other nearby hotels so we stayed here, about 10 minutes away. Room was very comfortable, handicapped bathroom perfect. The only complaint would be noisy footsteps above and outside... More

I stayed for one night with my daughter. The lobby has a sweeping "Gone with the Wind" type staircase and the lobby is decorated with very traditional wood furnishings including a grandfather clock and wing chairs. The room was ample with a desk and decent lighting. There is a fridge in the room. Rooms were probably done in the 1980's... More

Lobby was nice but it stops there. Rooms are poorly lit , old carpet and decorated with cheap furniture. Reminds me if what a Motel 6 probably looks like but at least they know who they are. Room rates are very high for what you get. I'm in the area but will not stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel off and on for a period of about 5 months, due to construction work being done on my house. The staff was generally pretty friendly. We stayed in several different rooms, the rooms were always clean + kept clean by the staff. Never saw a bug! Biggest complaint with the room was that every piece... More

Overall clean, quiet and welcoming. Close-up though you find a refurbished hotel that did the job without focusing on the details. Restaurant has very, very good dinners, but breakfast is sub-par. The rooms have been redone, you can tell this is a very old hotel that used to allow smoking. Very tiny bathrooms, with refinishing done so you can notice... More

Our family situation brought us to the area, and we are so glad we chose the Colonial Hotel. We had a suite and a regular non smoking room and both were wonderful, always clean! We were there for 11 nites over a two wk period. The food - well after staying so many nites we got to sample many items... More

The Colonial Inn is a great place to stay if you are in the area. This is our second stay at this hotel and it is still one we would come back to. The room was comfortable, but we could smell cigarette smoke every time we left the room. All of the rooms on that floor were marked as non-smoking,... More
