We returned to the hotel around 11:30 PM, and realized our room was located directly over the bar. A live band was playing in the bar until 1:00 AM. There was no chance of sleeping in our room before the band had finished for the night. The staff "allowed" us to pack our belongings and move to a new room... more

Having read previous reviews, I made my reservation at this hotel with trepidation. After arriving and checking in, my concern quickly evaporated. The staff was remarkably helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean, satisfactorily appointed and everything functioned as expected - which is always welcomed when traveling and arriving at your hotel late and exhausted. Breakfast was excellent -... more

We were hesitant to book at the Colonial Hotel after reading some negative reviews. But we found the Hotel to be in lovely condition, with newly renovated rooms and baths, and comfortable beds. We enjoyed a Valentines Day special. The dinner was very good and the brunch was good as well. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the... more

I just stay at the Colonial Hotel this past weekend with a group of 8 other couples. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. All the overnight rooms have been renovated including the bathrooms! One couple upgraded there standard room to a luxury suite. I only have one word for this room..."WOW" Dinner was... more

Stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding. The hotel is average, but in this location there are not many / any other options. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable enough. The bar closes early (before 1AM). The breakfast buffet is OK, but nothing special. They have a small weightroom with a treadmill and a weight machines. The machine... more

We stayed at the Colonial for one night recently while at a family gathering. I can honestly say that the front desk staff was one of the highlights of the stay - courteous, efficient and very friendly. The appearance of the hotel in general is fine, even stunning with the grand staircase in the lobby, but the room was disappointing.... more

My son decided to go to college in nearby Rindge, NH...that being said, finding a hotel close by that was not going to compromise his college tuition was not an easy feat. This is a rural area and most hotels were above Rindge, out of my way or pricy bed & breakfasts. I have stayed at the Clarion twice; in... more

My wedding shower was at the Colonial Hotel this past weekend. The room where the shower was held was a recent addition to the hotel. With natural lighting and lovely hardwood floors, it's a beautiful location for a shower. The credit for the decoration of the room has to go mostly to the bridesmaids and others who planned the shower,... more
