And a wonderful stayed! We chose this hotel because of the reviews on "the french cuisine" and we were very pleased, believe me, after being in the Dominican Republic for a while the change was sent fron heaven, every bite of the variety of their homemade food was "delicioso". The staff was very helpul and pleasant, as a matter of... More

We arrived in early July for a 2-night stay. We actually made the reservation "on the fly", as we decided to cut short our stay in over-touristy Cabarete (we could only take one day of that place...). GF just looked up the hotel online, e-mailed, got their phone number from their response, called (I am old fashioned, and like to... More

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this is not for you, although the service and the food was great. We arrived late at night and didnt care where to stay, but we were pleasantly surprised. The dinner was awesome as well as the service. Everything we asked for was solved withing minutes which is not common in... More

I spent 2 nights at this hotel with my son, the rooms were clean, the staff very helpfull, cable was awesome for my son, 8 year old. Had great food directly at the hotel. The owner I was told is French and he makes his own pate , cheese and smoked fish. Great Place to relax

Great guest House. Feel like home. Own by a Arnaud, located in Punta Rucia, little town located in the north west of Dominican Republic. Villa Rosa with a Restaurant with very good French Cuisine, personal directed by its owner, Arnaud, who makes couple of plates on a daily basis. Try the home made pâté that it is amazing.

3 times at Arnaud’s place, 3 times happy. Efficient, serviceable, always available, Arnaud makes you feel comfortable, at home, amid a small uneventful fishermen village. We are tired of resorts. We found Villa Rosa and his smart host-cook as the perfect escape. Arnaud knows the whole country and can give you tips; Or guide you in the natural surroundings; Or... More

My husband and I did a road trip around the DR for two weeks and ended up staying 5 days in Punta Rucia at Villa Rosa. I can honestly say that it was the highlight of our trip. Punta Rucia is a very quaint and authentic fishing village, with dirt roads and a small population. What we really enjoyed about... More

It is true to say that Arnaud was very helpful in organising a driver to meet us at the airport but overall we had a slightly disappointing stay. It is a very remote part of DR but 'unspoiled' is stretching things a bit; the beach isn't particularly clean and the lack of infrastructure means there's a lot of garbage lying... More

Beautiful... We stayed at Villa Rosa in Punta Rucia for 4 nights. Punta Rucia is a very small fishing village with friendly ppl, there is one main street and few tourists (at the moment - we also heard more development is expected soon including quite a number of French residents moving from Las Galeras to Punta Rucia) . There are... More
