Beautiful home with only two guest rooms and a shared bath. Sharing not our things but seemed to work well. The harbor view room is small but well done and the inn-keeper-owner is gracious and helpful. Both rooms are located on the second floor. The home has a pier and beautiful back yard with chairs to enjoy the scenes in... More

From the website we were just expecting this B&B to be average, but it was one of the best we've ever stayed in. Diane is a gracious hostess and her home is beautiful. Don't let the shared bathroom scare you away. The "Continental" breakfast is much more than that including quiche and pancakes. We would stay there again.

Great breakfasts and rooms stocked with everything you could possibly need, a charming host/owner with great stories and excellent tips to share, awesome harbor views, and a sweet mellow retriever named Ecco...simply delightful! Diane has really thought of everything - she should write a guide book for all other B&B's! Don't miss Margaret's for dinner - so glad we followed... More

When we pulled up to the house it was obvious we had arrived by the name on the building, which was reassuring because it was just a really nice house otherwise. Upon entering the house and being greeted by a gorgeous yellow lab who welcomed us with a wagging tail, we could immediately see it was a beautiful welcoming space.... More

This was our first visit to Baggins End Guest House. Diane is a gracious host and she prepares a delicious breakfast - her quiche was wonderful. The house is beautiful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the view of the harbor superb. Diane and Ecco made us feel right at home. Staying at Baggins End Guest House was a definite... More

We had six exceptional nights in Diane and Ecco's wonderfully comfortable and welcoming home, and, as with previous reviewers feel as though we have known Diane forever. During our stay hurricane Sandy hit and we lost power for a couple of nights. Diane made sure we were safe and comfortable and the memory of our wonderful late candlelit breakfasts will... More

A little difficult to find because West Street is a small turning off Main Street. Diane-and her dog, welcomed us and it was clearly a lovely home with a couple of guest rooms added on.The guest house was beautifully furnished and our room had a canopied bed with great views across the river to New Bedford. We stayed 3 nights and... We've stayed at Baggins End several times over the past three years. From two nights to a full week. You only need to stay a single day to realize you found a place that makes you feel like you never left home. Diane takes care of you. Diane's breakfast is second to none, always fresh, hot and ready when you... More

Inauspiciously after a miserable rainy 4.5 hour drive, we arrived at Baggins End on Friday evening. We were attending the New Bedford Working Waterfront Festival. Diane welcomed us as we were walking to the entrance and her dog, Ecco, did likewise. This was typical to the attention she (they) paid for our entire stay. At conversations over breakfasts of quiche... More
