I would not recommend this hostel. Though the staff is very friendly, I had to sleep on a air mattress in the basement (room w/o any windows). This is ok if the hostel is very cheap, but I payed 60 dollars for it. The location is pretty bad too, though there is a convenient free shuttle.

A bit outside of town, Backpackers Hostel & Pub has a charm of its own. Though the quality overall is only mediocre and you might be disappointed at first (bunk beds without ladder, breakfast consists of toast with peanut butter and jam), the people who stay over are usually very open and friendly and it's easy get to know new... This is the most expensive hostel I've ever stayed in, and I'm not sure the expense is justified, but the guys who run the place are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is just toast, jam/peanut butter and tea/coffee - the beds are cheap bunk beds and the sheets don't fit...but the showers are powerful and hot, the wifi is... More

This hostel is one of the coolest I have ever been. These ''Beatles'' atmosphere is charming :) , place with so many young people, billiard room and pub. Still, so pleasant place for sleeping! We were in Boston during the one of the busiest weekends in year, making us almost staying in the streets. We came to this hostel for... More

Never met such nice and helpful staff! Even though the hotel is a little out of the centre the shuttle bus runs very frequently to the train station so the location isn't an issue. The rooms were clean and we felt very safe on our first nights of travelling. The bar is cheap and you get free toast for breakfast,... More

Really good value for money. Great shuttle bus service therefore the small location issue is not a problem at all, runs every 30 minutes, i recommend purchasing a 7 day unlimited metro pass, was there for three days and saved us some money. Also the hostel has a free printer just email it to them, free breakfast nothing special bus... More

Before going to this hostel, I had only ever been to European hostels so I don't really know about the usual standards for American hostels. I mainly chose this hostel for the price (cheaper than motels or 3 or less stars hotels). The hostel isn't far away from public transport and it is very easy to get to the trains... More

When I was looking for a place to stay I made the decision because the price and the service shuttle they offer but when I got there I saw the hostel was more than I was expecting! I got there before the time to check in and they let do it before. It was good as I kept my things... More

On arrival we were worried about its location out of the city, however the staff were so helpful that this was not an issue. They were great at accommodating to us staying up all night to stream football matches back in Australia, giving us ice and bucket to store our beers. It had a great feel and the common room...
