The feeling of community is strong here. The group of staffers are always there to make your stay pleasant. Whether they're taking you to the nearby train station in the free shuttle bus they run or helping you out in an emergency in the middle of the night, they're happy to serve. Chris helped me out a few times. He's... More

A true Boston experience. This place conveys what Boston is all about...full of heart and amazing people! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will go above and beyond expectations. Chris and the other staff treated us like family. Some restaurants and shops close by. They offer a shuttle basically whenever you need down to the subway. Internet, computers, tv's,... More

My cousin and I recently stayed at backpackers hostel and pub in Everett, MA.... it's quite out of the way of Boston. shuttles are fairly easy to navigate and the hostel offers a free shuttle to the train station... only problem is that it stops at 10pm week days and midnight 12am.. cabs are cheap to hostel from subway. rooms... Credit to the guys at the hostel, they really do go out of their way to make sure your stay is a smooth and enjoyable one. Beds and facilities are clean, security is ok (the lockers were in the hall which wasn't ideal - however there was always people around so not all bad), and good common areas to meet... More

The Hostel is located in Everett but access to Boston is very easy via the Trains. They offer a free shuttle service to the train, or you could walk or take the bus to Wellington Station, the bus stop is just down the road in Main St. The staff at the front desk are very helpful if you have any... Rooms were stinky, filthy, and cheap rubber mattresses were very uncomfortable. Shared toilets and showers were decently clean although they were used by at least 50 people in the premises. Completely out of the way. If you miss the last shuttle ride offered by the hotel staff at 11pm, you'd have to walk a looong way on a dark road from... More

This place is an average hostel with an average breakfast. I paid 50 USD for a dorm bed. I don't have any complaints. They have a shuttle every 30 min betwixt Wellington metro station and the hostel. They have also painted (!) an orange line between the hostel and the metro which is situated about a mile away. The neighborhood... More

The best hostel to go to in all of Boston. It is cheap, clean, offer free rides to the subway station all day every day. Every member of staff went out of their way to get to know each and every individual and to make their stay as comfortable as possible....

The hostel is a decent enough, clean enough place for the price. Common areas were nice and they had a good 5 computers that were free of use. A little out the way of the main city so you will need to use the subway to get there and back. They offer free shuttle runs to the nearest subway station... More

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay within easy reach of Boston's main locations, there is much to commend Backpacker's. Everett is north of Boston and the hostel is a bit of a hike from Wellington T station. But the hostel has a half-hourly shuttle service from 08.30 to 10.00 pm. The staff are friendly and helpful...
