This was our second stay at the Ashley Inn. My husband and I welcomed the delicious cookies (albeit a little burnt) and beverages upon our arrival after biking from Oak Bluffs. Our accommodations were very nice..clean, comfortable (a.c., queen size bed, nice shower flowhead). The breakfast was satisfactory...omelet we ordered had a very strong egg taste (like when eggs are... More

Simply perfect. Great breakffast, perfectly located at the center of Edgartown, neat and comfortable. The owner, Fred, makes you feel like at home. The city and its attractions are not crowded on weekdays. Will be back for sure !

After spending three nights at the Ashley Inn, I can confidently say this was one of my most enjoyed B&B experiences. The owners, Fred and his wife Janet, were kind, knowledgeable, and supremely accommodating. Our room was prepared wonderfully upon arrival and maintained daily for when we returned from exploring Edgartown. A multi-course breakfast is served each morning and the... More

We recently spent three nights at the Ashley Inn. Our room, actually a suite with a separate living room, was very comfortable, clean and cheerful. The bed was comfortable, altho' the foam pillows could be improved on. Fred serves breakfast each morning, usually a choice of granola, eggs either scrambled or as an omelet, and either pancakes or waffles. The... More

My husband, son and I just returned from a wonderful weekend in Martha's Vineyard. Our hosts, the Hurleys, at the lovely Ashley Inn, could not have been more kind and generous. We had a lovely room that accommodated the three of us very comfortably. Location is ideal-just a short few blocks into downtown Edgartown. Bike paths are nearby and easy... More

Just got back from sharing the Ashley Inn house (next door) with 2 other couples. We originally had all booked rooms in the main inn; Fred called and asked if we would like to all stay together in the house. On line it looked fine but in real life it was pretty awful. Duct tape holding up curtains in a... More

I was very disappointed in this b&b. the room smelled of mildew, the bathroom was in poor shape with plastic chipped off the tub, shower curtain rod barely attached to the wall, bubbling wallpaper, mismatched shower mat, etc. The sheets were dingy. Multiple chairs in the dining room had holes in their seats. Bugs in coffee cups.

I bought this certificate for my parents years ago, but due to deteriorating health they were never able to take advantage of it. The positives were access to Edgartown and public transportation. The fact they still accepted the gift certificate. The breakfast was good and somewhat varied from day to day. They allowed use of their refrigerator (a little reluctantly),... More

We walked into the charming Ashley Inn and greeted by Fred...nicest guy! The Inn is inviting and breakfast always delightful. Fred's recommendations on places to eat, places to see, things to do, and rentals were great. The Inn's location is perfect. 5 min stroll to all the shopping, dining, waterfront and night life in Edgartown. Head out in the opposite... More
