What a find in an old, quiet neighborhood setting; very comfortable room, and superb breakfasts. Location ideal for visiting National Seashore and Provincetown, close to Cape Cod Railtrail. The hosts and staff were friendly and accommodating. We will return!

We had booked two nights in the Carriage House. The AC unit didn't seem to respond to any attempt to regulate it. Bed was comfortable, and the unit was clean. We were very pleased. However in the AM my girlfriend had a medical emergency and we had to leave immediately. I turned in the key to the owner and explained... More

We have visited the Cape 11 times and we always stay at the Whalewalk Inn. Kevin and Elaine Conlin are the most gracious hosts and feel like extended family to us. Their children Heather and Brendan have grown up to wonderfully compliment their parent's hospitality. The breakfasts are inventive and always delicious.. They gladly accommodate any special dietary needs. The Inn... More

I came back one year later as promised and Bill and Elaine did not disappoint. We, and all other guests are treated as family. The penthouse is still beautiful and clean and the deck and grounds are peaceful. The morning breakfast is the highlight of the morning no matter what my husband and I have planned to see and do.... I don't like b and bs, but my wife does. That said, we stayed in what was an old house modernized. Had to walk up with bags, at least 15 steps with high risers. I'm in fine shape, but don't like this about most b and bs. Small room window a/c unit which was adequate to the task, but, as... More

Just just spent the weekend at the Whalewalk Inn & Spa in Eastham, MA. The family- owned inn was absolutely wonderful - charming, comfortable and very relaxing. The room we stayed in was lovely and very comfortable and both breakfasts were unbelievable - probably the best breakfast either of us have ever had. We sat on a lovely outdoor, covered... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. So glad you enjoyed our little piece of Heaven on Cape Cod. Hope you enjoy making the melon bread. The secret to not making it over moist (as then your bread will sink) is to give the melon a few shakes to get as much juice out as possible. A wire colander... More

Bill and Elaine have a five star gem waiting for you. We stayed for three nights in The Barn Suite. The morning breakfasts were wonderful out on the patio. The brandy or sherry nightcap offered nightly was the perfect way to finish off perfect days on Cape Cod.

The Inn is a gorgeous property well located in mid- Cape Cod. The rooms are spacious and well decorated with lovely seating areas outdoors. The gardens are large and beautiful. Great breakfasts, friendly & helpful hosts, and great dining nearby make this a great choice. The beach is within walking distance.

My husband and I visited this inn for the first time. The owners are very friendly and upon checking in showed us around the inn and brought us up to our room. Our room was very tastefully decorated and very clean. What was a nice touch was when we went down for breakfast our room was cleaned and we didn't... More

Spent 2 nights in a suite room so had access to a small kitchen, living and dining room. The décor was beautifully done, the grounds perfectly landscaped and the staff extremely helpful. We enjoyed our daily breakfast al fresco surrounded by chirping birds. The location was just perfect for us as we visited both PTown and the National Seashore. Highly... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Reader’s Choice Silver Award Winner for the Outer Cape for 2011Readers of Cape Cod Life Magazine have voted, and we are the Silver 2011 winners of the Best of the Cape and Islands Bed & Breakfast Inn on the Outer Cape! The Boston Globe Magazine Travel Section, Sunday, May 15, 2011 highlighted different summer destinations for New England. Eastham was described as a “Cape Cod retreat, home of the National Seashore, where rolling dunes serve as a soft welcome mat for the steady surf.” Only two businesses were mentioned -- The Whalewalk Inn & Spa, as the lodging choice; and Arnold’s Lobster House on Route 6, as the restaurant of choice.Get away from the hustle and bustle of your every day life. Come and relax at Cape Cod’s most romantic and secluded country Inn – quietly tucked away on a country road, but centrally located to all the attractions that make Cape Cod so special. Walk the ‘Outer Cape’ beaches, listening to the soothing sound of the waves, lapping on Cape Cod Bay or crashing at the National Seashore. Partake in some of the finest dining that the Cape has to offer, beginning here each day with a gourmet breakfast served to you at your own private table.Become a part of the history that makes this Inn so special. The Inn was built in 1830 for Henry Harding, a renowned whaling captain. In the early nineteen hundreds it became a gentleman’s farm, known as Whalewalk Farm, then owned by the Kent family of PR Lorillard tobacco fame. With a cow and horse still living in what is now the Salt Box Cottage, the farm was purchased in 1953 and turned into an inn. Since that time it has been authentically restored and creatively redecorated. The common rooms are filled with the Innkeeper’s extensive Waterford Crystal collection, 19th century country antiques from England and France, fresh flowers, and oriental rugs for a warm welcome to start your stay. ... more   less
