my husband and I found this place to be a perfect relaxing place to stay. The location was excellent and not far from numerous beaches. It was very quiet at night and easy to get a very restful sleep. The room was very clean and quite large ( our suite was actually 3 rooms). We stayed in the Barn Suite... More

There are several buildings on the property, which is quite large. We were with another couple, and stayed in the Guest House, which was configured to have a living room in between two bedrooms, each with private bathroom, and each with their own outside entrance. Breakfast was lovely, served on the back patio; charming. Nicely kept and furnished; clean. Eastham... More

My Stay was average. There is not much to do in Eastham Finding a restaurant was a challenge. The traffic was horrible to say the least. The room was just O.K Just basic cable,no phone in room, and our room was very small!Housekeeping was very intrusive,Don't over-sleep here three times they knocked and came in while we were getting dressed. Lots of hype in the breakfast descriptions, but limited quantity and very little homemade. For example, "blueberry" bread was pound cake with a few blueberries added in. Very little protein, minimal fruit and tiny portion of egg salad. Package handful of salad with a few additions were part of most breakfasts. We have had FAR superior breakfasts at other B&Bs.... Had an awesome two night stay at The Whalewalk. We were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was very well located to beaches and shops. Would recommend to anyone and definitely stay again. Many thanks, Chris and Hannah

The Whalewalk is a charming, comfortable Inn with everything you will need for a good stay. We had the Spa suite which was very roomy. The dining room was very big although the kitchen was only equipped with a bar frig and sink. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a great soaker tub. The breakfast... We spent four wonderful nights at the Whalewalk Inn. Kevin, Elaine and their family could not be nicer or more accommodating. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were delicious. They were very quick to recommend places of interest and restaurants. We will definitely return to Cape Cod and the Whalewalk Inn. Roger and Donna H.

I have been vacationing in Cape Cod for years and this is the best lodging I found. Quiet and peaceful, clean and comfortable rooms decorated with good taste. Elaine, one of the innkeepers, is one of the best chef I ever met; the breakfasts are succulent, made with fresh and first quality ingredients. Kevin, her husband, is very generous and... More

What a find in an old, quiet neighborhood setting; very comfortable room, and superb breakfasts. Location ideal for visiting National Seashore and Provincetown, close to Cape Cod Railtrail. The hosts and staff were friendly and accommodating. We will return!

We had booked two nights in the Carriage House. The AC unit didn't seem to respond to any attempt to regulate it. Bed was comfortable, and the unit was clean. We were very pleased. However in the AM my girlfriend had a medical emergency and we had to leave immediately. I turned in the key to the owner and explained... More

Reader’s Choice Silver Award Winner for the Outer Cape for 2011Readers of Cape Cod Life Magazine have voted, and we are the Silver 2011 winners of the Best of the Cape and Islands Bed & Breakfast Inn on the Outer Cape! The Boston Globe Magazine Travel Section, Sunday, May 15, 2011 highlighted different summer destinations for New England. Eastham was described as a “Cape Cod retreat, home of the National Seashore, where rolling dunes serve as a soft welcome mat for the steady surf.” Only two businesses were mentioned -- The Whalewalk Inn & Spa, as the lodging choice; and Arnold’s Lobster House on Route 6, as the restaurant of choice.Get away from the hustle and bustle of your every day life. Come and relax at Cape Cod’s most romantic and secluded country Inn – quietly tucked away on a country road, but centrally located to all the attractions that make Cape Cod so special. Walk the ‘Outer Cape’ beaches, listening to the soothing sound of the waves, lapping on Cape Cod Bay or crashing at the National Seashore. Partake in some of the finest dining that the Cape has to offer, beginning here each day with a gourmet breakfast served to you at your own private table.Become a part of the history that makes this Inn so special. The Inn was built in 1830 for Henry Harding, a renowned whaling captain. In the early nineteen hundreds it became a gentleman’s farm, known as Whalewalk Farm, then owned by the Kent family of PR Lorillard tobacco fame. With a cow and horse still living in what is now the Salt Box Cottage, the farm was purchased in 1953 and turned into an inn. Since that time it has been authentically restored and creatively redecorated. The common rooms are filled with the Innkeeper’s extensive Waterford Crystal collection, 19th century country antiques from England and France, fresh flowers, and oriental rugs for a warm welcome to start your stay. ... more   less
