The SGI has been my destination of choice for over 20 years when we visit the Cape. Really convenient to a party destination close by, the SGI is the place to visit when one doesn't want to take a chance on a DWI or worse from the local constable. When a friend mentioned a party at his home for a... More

We happened upon this little hideaway by accident. We had a little trouble finding it, as our GPS failed to recognize the address and the numbers are difficult to see after dark. The room was charming, with knotty pine paneling and a back door to the balcony. Clean and reasonably priced. Located near restaurants and very quiet at night.

I grew up on the Upper Cape, but now that I'm a visitor, this low-key, charming place with an incomparable tidal river view is my clear choice. Our room was efficient and comfortable, with a refrigerator and coffee pot for those who don't wish to avail themselves of the provided continental breakfast. The price was a pleasant surprise as well,... More

I have stayed here twice and found it to be very clean-very important to me- and I love the setting by the marsh. It has a great balcony overlooking the marsh for relaxing and eating breakfast. It is outdated but very comfortable. The groupon was a good value.

We stayed for 4 nights w/ a groupon deal. The managing staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated and could use more cleaning, but overall the place is comfortable and pleasant. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast on the deck outside the room with views of the river and marshland. The trees in the garden draw... More

Nice bed and breakfast with friendly, responsive staff. While the rooms were outdated in décor, the serene atmosphere of the deck and garden areas were perfect for rest and relaxation. Overall, it was a fabulous groupon deal and would go again.

We stayed two nights... Came for the Whale watching and the fall foliage... The view from the balcony was the gem. The office people were friendly and helpful. Much like a family B&B. Right next to sandy neck beach. Up the road from Captain Scotts great dinner. about an hour and 15 min from Provence. Its a great cynic drive... More

When you pull up to Spring Garden you immediately feel cozy and warm. The units look like beach cottages not a motel. We stayed in number 10. Nice little unit with flat screen tv, mini fridge, and wall to wall books. The only area that needs updating is the bedroom. Needs a bigger bed and updated decor to make it... More

The staff was very helpful/informative and friendly. Guest rooms were older but very clean although there was some mold along the ceiling in the bathroom. Still can't beat the deal we got with groupon though. The only negative was that the beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable. Small but well done continental breakfast in the morning. Would stay again but... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Spring Garden Inn evolved from a home custom built in the 1940's for the Hannah sisters by their brother Edward. The Hannah's are descendants from the early pilgrims who settled this country in the 1600's. The family can trace its roots to the Plymouth colonists, family members saw military service under the British during the French and Indian Wars, were officers during the Revolutionary War under George Washington, and one ancestor even served as a staff aide to Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War. ... more   less
