My family had a house in Chatham, MA, for over 25 years and I often went to Nauset Beach to swim, four wheel down Nauset, etc. I remember as a kid often passing the sign for Nauset Knoll Motor Lodge, the last address on the street before entering the parking lot area of Nauset, Beach, but didn't think much of... We are mixed on this place. On one hand, we liked the location. Don't think you will have an ocean view, the drifts on the beach are too high to see the water over but you can kind of hear it and you can certainly easily walk. The room itself is spacious which was nice and we liked the location... More

We recently spent a long Labor Day Weekend Here. Over the past 40 years we have stayed in just about every Hotel on the Outer Cape, and quite a few on the Lower Cape. Nauset Knoll has one thing that no other Hotel on the Cape can claim, and that is the view. It is breath taking to say the... More

I'm scared to write a review because this place is a gem and I don't want to blow their cover! My bathroom had glass doorknobs, I was beside myself. Jeannie, she is just the best, really, she made my room change seamless! Thank you Jeannie! The rooms are immaculate and simple, if you want to wine and dine this is... More

This is the only lodging located within the Cape Cod National Seashore. The rooms are bare-boned but squeaky clean. Every room has a large picture window overlooking the sea. The beds were comfortable. The motel provides toiletries, bath towels, bedding and a small fridge. No coffee pot. I stocked up on instant coffee and used hot water from the tap,... More

Nauset Knoll is a old style "Motor Lodge" owned by the US Government as part of the National Seashore. It has an unbelievable view and easy walk right down to beautiful Nauset Beach below. Need to bring your own toiletries, hair dryer, coffee maker & cooler as the old motel style rooms appear unchanged since the 1960's, but are very... More

This is a charming small motel - just 10 or so ground floor rooms - sort of cabins really. They are set on a small hill that overlooks the bay, from your bed you can see the ocean through the large windows - we saw wales out at sea. There is a path to take you straight to the beach,... More

As other reviewers have said, the Nauset Knoll is basic but the views are anything but! The room was large, 2 double beds with a couch and a chair, television with cable. No internet service or phone, if you can't unplug this is not the place for you. Bring a blowdryer if you need one. The room was immaculate though... More

This small, old fashioned motor lodge is a gem of a time warp. The rooms are scrupulously tidy and clean with décor unchanged since the 60s (grey and pink tiles in the bathroom) and that is a delightful thing in my book! All the rooms have a view east to the sunrise with nothing blocking the Atlantic. There is a... More

Clean and reasonable, ideal location. People come back every year for a reason. So many positives; negatives to be aware of: poor to no cell reception and no in room phone; pullout bed not very comfortable (but I've yet to find a pullout that is); biting flies outside room; rooms not darkened against sunrise. Bring bug spray and a sleep... More
