I've lived in Canada all my life, but have been visiting Cape Cod regularily since I was 5 years old. Years ago my wife and I discovered The Ship's Knees Inn and found it to be our most romantic, charming and perfect place to escape. We have been staying in Room 3 with the fireplace, a couple of times a... more

This Inn was everything we hoped for and more! The location is a five minute walk from amazing Nauset Beach, close to great restaurants and the center of Orleans. The Inn is cozy and well kept. The beds are so comfortable and the hosts are great! Even though the breakfast continental , there is such a great variety- fresh baked... more

Just walking distance from Nauset beach, this cozy, quaint, beautiful, well-kept Inn (with pool, manicured floral grounds, patio for evening star gazing around artistic fire or breakfast in am) is a must stay for anyone's CAPE experience. Family owned and run since my first visit in 1974, this jewel has been a wonderful part of our families get-aways in the... more

We were away with my mother-in-law and were so warmly welcomed at the Inn when we arrived. The rooms (adjacent and convenient to parking and dining area) were so cozy and comfortable but afforded everyone privacy. We were offered recommendations for local dining and received one which "made the day" for my mother-in-law. The continental breakfast was beautiful and plentiful... more

This is a small, homey inn. The owners were delightful and always available. They made great recommendations for restaurants, shopping, things to do, etc. The rooms had many personal touches. Nauset beach is visible from some of the rooms and my husband and I walked to the beach each morning. A fire pit, that was lit at night, made the... more

With a near perfect location, just a short walk from the beach, this shingled inn captures the essence of the Cape. Its quaintly decorated rooms offer a wide variety of accomodations. A continental breakfast is included and can be enjoyed on the patio in warm weather. The innkeepers Peter and Denise are warm and welcoming and offer excellent advice on... more

As my mother used to say, we were "snug as a bug in a rug" in Room #8 at this pristine inn within easy walking distance of Nauset Beach. We remembered the powerful presence of the beach from family cottage vacations in North Eastham. We wanted that sand and sea type of laid-back vacation without the housework. Ship's Knees was... more

My wife and I spent three nights at this charming inn just a quarter mile from Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod. While it was not in absolutely pristine condition (e.g. some extra nail holes in the walls, furniture a bit worn) the style seemed to us completely in keeping with a seaside resort for the area. The continental... more

My husband and I stayed at the Ship’s Knees Inn for a weekend getaway in July 2008. The inn has a fantastic location and the owners are very welcoming. They were pretty much always available to provide dinner recommendations or directions. The highlight of the inn is its location. It is located a short 5 minute walk to Nauset beach.... more
