We stayed at the Ship's knees for a couple of nights in October and it was our first time on the cape (we live in England). We had a very friendly welcome and were shown to our room and recommended local attractions and hotels. Our room was small but clean and had everything you needed. We sat outside in the... More

My husband and I have been enjoying our vacations at the Ship's Knees Inn during October for several years. The location is perfect. The inn is close to Nauset Beach, railtrails, dining, shopping and a quaint little town. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and are updated regularly. The breakfasts are really nice and include several choices. Pete and... More

The inn is located within walking distance of Nauset Beach. The rooms are beautiful, clean, quiet and comfortable. At night they have a bonfire and it gives you a chance to talk to other guests and get ideas on where to visit while visiting the Cape. The owners are such friendly delightful people. There's a pool on the property but... More

Stayed for two nights at the Ship's Knees Inn this fall. The owners were wonderful - accommodating and helpful. The location was great for seeing different parts of Cape Cod. We were able to sit on Nauset Beach for a morning, which was wonderful. Nice proximity to the beach. We were in a Petite Queen, which was tight, but not... More

We had a wonderful three night stay at the Ship's Knees Inn. Our room (#4) was charming with a very comfortable king size bed and plenty of space to relax with our favorite preprandial potables. Having arrived after sunset we did not appreciate the beauty of the grounds until the next morning when we discovered the beautiful plantings and luxurious... More

We loved this historic inn on Old Beach Road just up from Nauset Beach. Sunrise over the Atlantic shined right in our room window (spectacular!). The inn is surrounded by large, beautiful, lovingly-maintained gardens. We were impressed with the fabulous homemade breakfast, light-years beyond what we expected by "a continental breakfast." And the patio fire-pit was most welcoming, where guests... More

Our trip to Cape Cod was wonderful due to the GREAT people at the Ship's Knees Inn. VERY friendly and informative! Peter and Denise were able to give great ideas on where to eat and sights to see. Accommodations were cozy and comfortable. The delicious breakfast each morning on the patio was delightful. The owners Peter and Denise went out... More

We came to the inn, not as distant travelers but as locals whose own home was filled to the brim with visiting family. It was a great treat to enjoy the exquisitely maintained gardens and grounds with delightful sitting areas offered throughout. The innkeepers have anticipated your every need and filled those needs with a style and grace that seems... More

On our last night at Cape Cod, we enjoyed a very stay at Ship's Knees Inn. Nauset Beach is about 1/2 mile down the street from the Inn and the neighborhood simply charming. The Inn is a great option. It is not luxury but well above satisfactory. Somewhere in between those two ratings with meaningful value at their price point.... More

My husband and I enjoyed a three-night stay after visiting Boston and Vermont - we had a great time. The hotel is lovely even if the room we had, no 12, is compact. Breakfasts were marvellous, delicious and included unusual delicacies as well as the standard stuff. Pete was particularly helpful when I needed advice for a trip to Nantucket... More
