We stayed here in later August for only one night while passing through to a further destination. We found the employees and owner (Pete) to be very professional and ultimately friendly. Within walking distance to a fantastic beach, and a short drive to restaurants. We ate at Joe's Main St Bar and Grill and that too, was fantastic. We stayed... More

Great place to stay! Walking distance to Nauset, excellent breakfast, beautiful grounds including pool, firepit, and a variety of sitting areas. The owners are accommodating and invested which is refreshing! We stayed in a Queen Deluxe room and found it to be just perfectly decorated, comfortable and very clean.

I have been coming to Cape Cod since childhood. There were years of motels on busy roads early on. In recent years there have been delightful family gatherings at rented cottages a few miles from the beach. Recently, my husband and I wanted the true Cape Cod experience without the need for our own cottage. The search was on!!! How... More

We just returned from a week at the Ships Knees Inn, in Orleans, MA. Its a great location, very close to Nauset beach and a short drive to Chatham. The Inn's complex of facilities is quite beautiful and peaceful. Our room, the Nauset Suite, spacious and accommodated my family of four quite nicely, The inn offers all the needed amenities,... I don't know if there is much else to add here... great location and very charming spot away from the crowds but very close to the beach. The breakfast is great and the grounds are well kept. The pool is nice too. I stayed in one of the rooms that has 2 twin beds... it was pretty tight but charming... More

We traveled to Ship's Knees for a long weekend - Thursday through Monday and it couldn't have been more perfect. The Inn is so beautiful, well-kept, peaceful and charming. The rooms are perfect, clean and quiet. The courtyard and pool were our favorite, we shared a bottle of wine each nice around the firepit and enjoyed the pool after a... More

Ship's Knees Inn offers a true sample of old New England hospitality and atmosphere. We stayed in the main inn which has the smaller rooms and windows of earlier New England days. The rooms are well kept; the labyrinth of hallways and stair cases, intriguing; and the owners, exceptional in their care of the comforts (including an above par continental... More

Thirty five years ago, we were supposed to stay at the Ship's Knee Inn on our wedding night. But the main inn was full, so we ended up staying at another property the owners had at the time, on Route 6 near the cove in Orleans. We returned this August and were delighted to stay at the main inn.The rooms... More

We loved our three nights at The Ship's Knees! With a lovely homemade breakfast to begin each day and some time in a comfy chair by the fire pit to wrap it up, this was a real home away from home. Peter and Denise were exceptionally welcoming hosts who remembered our names and gave us great recommendations for the area,... More

My husband and I returned today from a one week stay at the Ship's Knees in Orleans. We stayed in the twin room on the second floor of the main inn. The room was small but very comfortable, cozy and clean. There was a small bureau(4 draws) and a small closet to store our clothing for the week and a... More
