I'd recommend the Inn at BH for people who've already been to the Vineyard and seen the major sites. I would definitely also recommend bringing a car (requires ferry reserv. several months ahead) or renting a car. It's on a bus route, but that can take time. This property is beautiful, tucked away in the trees with gorgeous grounds. The rooms are nothing elaborate, but I enjoyed the tasteful simplicity.
