My stay at the Plantation Inn was efficient, affordable and pleasant. Registration, on-line, was followed by pleasant, personable desk service. The room was clean, neat and orderly. Bed was comfy! Continental breakfast was enough to get the day started. It was not pricey, not crowded, not loud. I recommend Plantation for an inexpensive room, right off the Mass Pike. And... More

Beware if this cheap motel with such a weird name!!! Look like a strange jail with even stranger room!!! Seriously, very bad representation on their website and on hotels.com... They show a very nice room and describe a delicious continental breakfast!!! Well, coffee, juice and dry donuts are not really consider a continental breakfast!!! May as well write: cheap motel... I know the Plantation Inn doesnt charge alot, it was $65/night for a double bed. but the place is run down. The hotel doesnt look like the photos at all. The room was dirty, dust in all the corners of the carpet. the carpets are old. The bed sheets did not even fit the bed, The bathroom was ok, but... More

I recently stayed here, attending a conference in Springfield. The moment I drove into the parking lot, I knew I was in trouble. The pictures on the website must have been taken years ago...because what sat in front of me was an empty parking lot and a very OLD, unkempt exterior. When I walked in, the lobby looked clean, but... More

Worst place ever. I believe homeless people live in better conditions. My review is based on just a half hour stay. The bathtub was so disgusting I wouldn't bath a dog in it, the carpets were gross anddingy, the walls were covered in dirty hand and finger prints and what ever the other grimey stuff was. I'm sure CSI could... More

I recently stayed at the hotel because the Mass. Democratic Convention was in Springfield. I had a friend book the hotel for the night, so I didn't really notice anything was amiss until I pulled in and noticed three cars in the parking lot. The beds were average, although we were not given shampoo and breakfast was a platter of... More

Even though the Plantation Inn is VERY cheap, it still doesn't justify all that there is wrong with it. We spent one night here on a stop over... BAD mistake. To get to the rooms, you kind of have to go down half a floor, so when you get in your room, you feel as if you are in a... More

I was very pleased with my recent stay at the "Plantation Inn Of New England". This hotel is ideally located near the next Interstate and very clean and comfortable. Although I was checking out very early in the wee morning hours, I was offered orange juice and freshly baked muffins, even some to take along on my long drive.

Observations and comments: -feeling that was a nice motel decades ago but not kept up -claims Southern hospitality. Not particularly though people running it seem friendly enough -sink accessible outside room with toilet and bath -plastic disposable glasses, at least you know they are clean -light over sink often does not come on -tub and sink do not drain well... I was really hesitant to book a reservation at the Plantation Inn, given the less-than-favorable reviews...but I noticed that most of the reviews were rather old, and their website didn't give off the sketchy vibe, so I figured why not. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised -- especially for $75 last minute this weekend. In short, you pay for... More
