I can't imagine a more perfect country setting, a more perfect home and rooms, or more hosts than Kessie and Nutmeg. Our family can't wait for the next time we're passing through Western Massachusetts, as we'll make a bee line for Swallow Hill. Breakfast open faced omelette with a divine cheese, just-picked asparagus, and edible flowers sprinkled. Comfortable, supportive beds... More

Thank you so much for this lovely review. Nutmeg particularly appreciates your glowing recommendations and very much looks forward to your return visits...as do I OR COURSE. I am glad we could fit you all in. I think the plane conversations as breakfast were of especial interest to one member of your party! Can't promise that sort of entertainment always,... More

Worth the drive into the country! Amazing view of the hillsides and surrounding pastures. We watched the sunset from the porch and listened to the birds and crickets. As quiet and serene outside as it is comfortable and cheerful inside. It was so easy for my wife and I to make ourselves at home here. The low price made us... More

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the four-poster bedroom worked for you. My favorite I think is the queen sized room with the view because of morning light. I loved having you here and know I will think of you with often over this coming year.I hope you had a good trip home and will come and... More

While visiting the Northampton area in early June, we had the delightful experience of staying at the Swallow Hill B&B and getting to know its owner and host Kessie. The B&B is nestled in the hills, offers a quiet and very peaceful respite from the Northampton/Amherst area, and presents lovely vistas of the surrounding mountains. The rooms were very comfortable... More

Thank you for the wonderful review. It's always a treat to have a "lovely surprise", and I certainly enjoyed the same surprise with both of you. I hope your return trips, up and down were wonderful and I realize you must now be home, another rare treat. Do come again. I loved having you here. And thank YOU! More

The epitome of 'Mi casa, su casa.' The house is bright and sunny with beautiful views and amazing breakfasts. Bedrooms are comfortable and spacious but Kessie gives you the whole house to sit and read, work on a puzzle or sit by the fire. Outdoors in winter, there is plenty of space (and much encouragement) to snow shoe or cross... More

This is a hidden gem and a place that anyone should be lucky to visit. We spent a night there in the fall and it was beautiful and her dogs are great. Kessie was beyond welcoming. The rooms are homey, the facilities are comfortable and the breakfast is delicious! Would highly recommend.

Thanks so much for this lovely review. It was wonderful to have you both here. Come back any time. I have lots of biking ideas for you! And of course as winter approaches there is always cross country. Happy Thanksgiving. Kessie More

You can't get much better than a beautiful huge well appointed house situated on a hill bathed in sunshine with a cheerful host and dogs welcoming you in from the chill in late autumn! Oh thank you BEST OF BRITISH GUESTS for such a lovely review. It seems you really understand me, perhaps bit too well! I wish you could come back every year so we could continue conversations, create more Blokus challenges, and simply laugh more. I miss you! Hope the trip home was good, and Boston treated you well. The property is beautiful and Kessie is a delightful hostess. We were lucky to be there for a few days when temperatures were mild and we were able to keep the windows open all night. Kessie has a lovely garden and the property has views of the distant mountains. Breakfast was good and the company was ecven better.

Highly recommend this b&b. Cozy, comfortable, fun, delicious breakfast, out of this world hospitality. True relaxation, beautiful location. Kessie went out of her way to make us comfortable. She even lent us her personal ski clothes since we didn't bring ours. Sweet dog! Interesting host, we enjoyed our conversations with her.
