We stayed over Easter weekend which unfortunately the weather was not great. It is definetly someplace to be when you can experience the out of doors. The magnificent ocean across the road and the lovely surrounding neighborhood. We stayed in the main inn which was beautifully decorated. We loved the large sitting room off the lobby with the fireplace and... more

We had an absolutely superb spotlessly clean room in this resort style hotel. Furthermore, our room was really well appointed, with every detail you could think of. We also enjoyed the beach restaurant at lunch time. The weakness, which probably applies only to high season, is the central facilities. The restaurants at breakfast and dinner were overrun by many unruly... more

This was the fourth consecutive year we've spent a winter weekend at the Chatham Bars, and while it is still a very pleasant place to stay, some of the more charming touches have been done away with. The complimentary afternoon tea in the lounge--which used to be a very pleasant break in the day (we're not there for the beach... more

Our daughter had a destination wedding at the Chatham Bars Inn. We chose this inn because it was large enough for all of our guests to stay in one place and because of the reputation it has for being a first class resort. (It has the distinction of being one of the Leading Hotels of the World) All of our... more

Really nice place however; we did not get refills on coffee in our room daily, nor did it get cleaned daily, there were cracks and spiderwebs on the walls, the people staying and working here were very upity and really looked down their noses at you. If your looking to go in the water make sure you bring watershoes b/c... more

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and decided on a spa experience at Chatham Bars Inn. I had stayed at the hotel once before on a business trip and my wife was staying for the first time. We stayed in one of the spa suites. A better choice for a romantic weekend with your spouse or partner... more

We live on the Southcoast of Massachusetts and were looking for a place nearby to celebrate my wifes birthday. We looked at a few places and decided on the Chatham Bars Inn Spa because they claimed to have saunas, fireplaces, hot tubs, and steam showers IN EVERY ROOM. And it is winter so we planned on spending most of the... more

I went there with my 2 kids who are rather rambunctious 3 and 6 year olds. I had read that it was family friendly but I was still worried that their running through halls and loud talking would upset other people. Far from it. This was the most family friendly place I have stayed in. It's upscale, yet not overbearingly... more

First, the good news... it's a beauthful location. And when we reported we had no hot water, they addressed the problem within a half hour. The bad news? We heard three other families echo our sentiments - we won't stay there again. Disorganized, dining experiences only fair, and things not as advertised (for instance, the premier cottage room was advertised... more

My experience here was great - they even upgraded our room so we ended up right on the water. The room exceeded all expectations - the bathroom, the large living area & the bedroom. It was unbelievable. Our only (small) complaints were the lack of dining in the area - maybe a problem with this time of year - and... more
