Lovely Hotel. Housekeeping could use some work but the rooms are large with excellent views. Pool area and beach are nice. The only negative on the pool is that is gets crowded when the weather is nice and they seem to have a lot of "reserve" seating that is not being used. more

Girls weekend over Mother's Day. It was a rocky start at first, dragging our luggage up 2 flights of stairs, then the bed breaking..................we thought "OMG you have got to be kidding!" Needless to say (---) happens and the Inn took good care of us!!!! more

We stayed one night, right after Memorial Day, so still cloudy, rainy and cold. That's pretty classic New England so we enjoyed. The desk folks were polished regulars, but we suspect they run a fresh crew of youngsters through the wait staff every season so the meal service was uneven. The kitchen was uninspired, too. Our room was in the... more

In short, I over researched, then I let it go. I had a beautiful and relaxing anniversary. I am a 45 year old stay at home Mom who can afford the $600/night, but with a husband working two jobs and two children under six, I have other priorities. It was our 10 year anniversary and Mom was watching the boys.... more

The Chatham Bars Inn is wonderfully located along the sea. The views from the main inn are beautiful, as well as the views from the rooms that are just overlooking the sea. One bad point is that the swimming pool in high season is really overcrowded. Given how much you pay for the rooms, a much larger swimming pool should... more

My husband and I were looking for the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our 6th weeding anniversary, and the CBI had it all! The staff was wonderful and responsive. Although there was a slight overcast and our views of the ocean somewhat limited, we enjoyed every moment and took in the Nature Walk on Sunday morning. Local eateries and shopping... more

My DH, teenage son and I stayed at the Chatham Bar during the Easter weekend. We had a cottage overlooking the water. It was more like a large room or a small suite than a cottage, but it was so beautiful. The cottages are separate from the hotel, maybe a 1-2 minute drive from the main hotel. We had a... more

We stayed over Easter weekend which unfortunately the weather was not great. It is definetly someplace to be when you can experience the out of doors. The magnificent ocean across the road and the lovely surrounding neighborhood. We stayed in the main inn which was beautifully decorated. We loved the large sitting room off the lobby with the fireplace and... more

We had an absolutely superb spotlessly clean room in this resort style hotel. Furthermore, our room was really well appointed, with every detail you could think of. We also enjoyed the beach restaurant at lunch time. The weakness, which probably applies only to high season, is the central facilities. The restaurants at breakfast and dinner were overrun by many unruly... more

This was the fourth consecutive year we've spent a winter weekend at the Chatham Bars, and while it is still a very pleasant place to stay, some of the more charming touches have been done away with. The complimentary afternoon tea in the lounge--which used to be a very pleasant break in the day (we're not there for the beach... more
