The Moorings is a great place to stay while on the cape. We stayed in room #3 in the garden place. The screened porch was a nice place to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. The room was large, with a nice fireplace. TV and phone are unexpected benefits in a B&B. Even the bath was more spacious... more
On our next trip to the Cape someone might have to pay us to stay somewhere else. We were so comfortable in our room at the Moorings. Our two night stay felt a lot longer than just that long. What a wonderful B&B! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, which I find unusual in most hotels. The decor was adorable, all kinds of cute little touches. They provided robes, and the towels were the thick and fluffy kind. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and they provide free beach chairs and bicycles. However, the best thing... more
This B&B was extremely well done. We had the Evelyn Rockwell room - it was adorable, well furnished, good sized, big bathroom (with jacuzzi tub,) very clean, and had a comfortable bed. Chatham in early March... Freezing, everything was closed except for pricey restaurants. Still, this didn't keep my fiance and I from having such a memorable 3 night stay in The Moorings 2 room suite. These old victorian houses + gardens had everything others in the area have, but with kind and gentle elderly owners, delicious breakfasts AND ...the personal touch... more
Everything about the Moorings is so much above average. The staff was cordial but not intrusive but those of us who aren't morning-people. by far the most charming Inn in the town of Chatham. First class breakfast, exceptionally clean and classy. This is the archtypal Bed and Breakfast you have been looking for. Closer to the water than all but the mammoth (and mammothly expensive) Chatham Bars Inn. Great Experience. more
