The rooms are clean and basic, but the short walk to the beach will keep us coming back. Reading a book on the porch on a beautiful day is so relaxing with the ocean view! Owners, Joan and Dick are wonderful. We love it!

My sisters and I have stayed at the Surfside many times including this past week. It may not be plush but it sure is quaint and you cannot beat the location! Every morning we could pull up the shade and have a view of the sea, watch the fishermen going out for the day, and have a wonderful sea breeze!... More

Our room was very dusty and outdated. I don't usually have issues with allergies but I was sneezing whenever I was in the room. There are few amenities, and no shampoo or conditioner even. The molding in the bathroom door frame looked moldy. For the rate, I expected more. The owners are friendly but I wouldn't stay here again. The... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Surfside Motor Inn, Chatham, Ma. If you want an inexpensive place to stay, as other places are quite pricey, this is it. On a quiet street not far from town, not modern by any means, and needs to be updated, but it is clean and the owners are very nice. They have... More

We just happened to find this place while driving around looking for a place to stay. Clean and quiet. This is an older Inn in very nice condition and has ocean view and about 100 yrds. from beach. Breakfast was also provided. We will stay there again when visiting Chatham.

The Surfside is the best option when looking to stay close to downtown Chatham. For the money, you are steps from the beach, a short walk to the lighthouse and an even shorter walk into town. No fighting for parking at the beach or town. It's an older hotel but you're not spending your time in the room. They all... More

We recently stayed at the Surfside Motor Inn because of it's location to the beach. However, I would rather spend the money elsewhere and walk a longer distance to the beach. We reserved a larger room and were bumped to a smaller room with a door that didn't even lock. When we told the owner about the problem, they said... More

We rented a room for 2 days. The room was fairly small with 2 beds, a dresser, a TV and mini-fridge. The furnishing were old but in good shape. Everything was clean. The bathroom was a decent size. The fixtures were old but in good working order. The only problem was noise. The plumbing from the room above ours ran... More

Me and my Mom have been staying at the Surfside Motor inn for the past 18 years. It maybe not be the best decorated bed and breakfast in Chatham but for the price and location it cant be beat. Walking to the beach is easy and it is even possible to carry down kayaks and paddle out to North Beach.... More

We have stayed at the Surfside many many times over the years and each and every time it has never failed to give us a wonderful holiday. In Chatham it is rare to find a hotel that is reasonably priced with a good location. The Surfside is down a little quiet street, just a few minutes walk from a small... More
