Romantic Inn located in the quiet and quaint town of Brewster on Cape Cod. Gracious hospitality, safe and contact-less check-in, beautiful salt-water pool and mature gardens, and rooms with gas fireplaces make this a perfect Cape Cod get-away. Central Cape location makes a great base from which to explore all the Cape has to offer. Enjoy a morning walk across the road at Drummer Boy Park with views toward Cape Cod Bay, and nature trails at the nearby Museum of Natural History.

We had a wonderful stay in the Refugio Suite at Brewster Inn By The Sea. We had a last minute change of plans and luckily for us, the inn had a cancelation. From making the reservation to pre arrival communication to check in - we were impressed from the start. The website has very accurate photos of the rooms and the Inn. Our suite was spacious, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed with lovely bedding and very comfortable furniture. The bathroom was well stocked and had lovely amenities and towels. Although the Inn is on Rt. 6A, it was very quiet. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and the pool setting was lovely. Amy is the perfect innkeeper! You feel like you are visiting an old friend. She is welcoming and friendly yet gives you your privacy. We will definitely be making future visits to Brewster By The Sea Inn.

My husband and I had a relaxing 3 nites at the lovely Brewster By the Sea Inn. Without skipping a beat the Cape is handling COVID-19 quite well. There are many rules the inns have to follow to keep us all safe, but they are done so seamlessly that as a guest you don’t see the extra work they are putting in. Amy the wonderful owner and host, from reservation to departure was available in person or by text our entire visit. We had email videos prior to our arrival about how to check in and get to our room contactless. There are personal packets ready for you and they are filled with local information for Brewster and the Cape. I love books and brochures, so I really appreciated this—-If you need ideas every question is answered!!!

We stayed in Refugio Suite in the Orchard House that is like a 30 second walk to the main house for breakfast. The suite is large with two main areas a fireplace and private patio with a walkout to the grounds. It includes a kitchenette which was perfect for our leftovers. The room we had was lovely and comfy. The bath linens were great and the bed linens were to die for! I slept well each night. Nice touches too included shampoo and conditioner bars from Sonoma and my favorite were the lilac hand soap and body lotion and a room spray. The daily gourmet breakfast that Joy cooks is so creative and amazing. It was the highlight of my mornings. Her presentation was beautiful. Amy kept apologizing for not being served on their usual china, but she has come up with some cute disposables. It does not take away from the experience.

I loved everything about Brewster By The Sea. It was so sad to leave. Next time my visit will have to have more nights!!!

This is an incredible place to experience an Inn atmosphere without losing a sense of privacy that often happens with inns. Amy is an attentive innkeeper who is there for anything you need, without being intrusive. Her morning breakfasts are absolutely wonderful and are served in a mature garden area around a refreshing built in pool

The rooms are comfortable, the beds are heavenly, the shower pressure good and the entire room beautifully cleaned and cared for. The touches that she supplies like morning newspapers for breakfast, handmade soaps in the room, chocolates and tea daily and an endless supply of water make your stay effortless. The rooms have air conditioning with excellent controls which is often rare in old inns like this one. It has been impeccably restored in every way.

This is a quiet private inn; the actual rooms are in a building alongside of the main inn space. It was the original barn apparently. You sure wouldn't know it; it is beautiful.

We stayed here for five days; we can't wait to return!

Brewster By The Sea is a lovely inn and Amy, the owner/innkeeper, is so welcoming and down to earth. This was our third summer staying here and despite the challenges posed by the corona virus pandemic, Amy and the staff made our stay feel like "the old normal". A "contactless" check-in and checkout procedure was available, but Amy was always around if you needed help. The wonderful breakfasts were fantastic and they provide great gluten free alternatives to bread and pastries. To allow for social distancing breakfast tables were set up in the lovely pool area as well as the garden gazebo and other locations throughout the property. This was the second year in a row that we used the Refugio Suite for myself, my wife and our adult daughter and the space was absolutely perfect.
The Inn's location is very convenient to beaches on the Bay side, Nantucket Sound and the Cape Cod National Seashore.
We can't wait for our next visit.

My husband and I have stayed at Brewster By the Sea Inn twice and each time has been just lovely. The rooms at the Inn are so clean and beautifully decorated with special touches like fresh flowers, chocolate from Amy the owner and a gas fireplace to warm up by. The warm muffins with coffee were just delicious!! As regular B&B/Inn guests, we highly recommend staying with Amy at Brewster By the Sea. You won't be disappointed!!

This small inn is an oasis of tranquility. Rooms are comfortably furnished with everything needed; special touches from the innkeeper including natural fibers in bedding and bath; specialty shampoos/soaps etc. Gorgeous pool surrounded by gardens. Homemade breakfast served on the deck. We've been going to the cape for years and have learned new spots to enjoy while staying at Brewster By the Sea. Amy is a warm and welcoming host. We'll be back!

Brewster By The Sea Inn is the ideal accommodation for those who appreciate attention to detail. The owner, Amy, has thought of everything to make her guests feel right at home.

The accommodations were very nice but the best part of our visit was the breakfast in the morning. Amy is a wonderful hostess. We would highly recommend this unique place for an overnight visit or an extended stay and we would definitely like to visit them again soon!

This is a high-end inn with very thoughtful touches. The selection of linen towels to organic shampoo and soaps, great coffee with fresh half and half was an unexpected delight. The estate is picturesque and the custom cooked breakfast by the pool is plain heavenly. A must for the discerning traveler.

Under the current circumstances, Amy has gone above and beyond making you feel comfortable and welcome. Though the weather could’ve been better,The gas fireplace provided plenty of comfort and room to relax. We stayed in the Refugio suite. We were unable to eat on the very large deck, so a delicious breakfast was provided the four days we were there. You can order off the menu the night before, several choices are always offered. The room was spotless and knowing that a deep clean was provided made us quite comfortable. The Cape is beautiful this time of year, no traffic and plenty of photo opportunities. Brewster by the sea is a lovely place to spend a few days and relax. I believe this was our fifth stay, thank you Amy💕👍🏼👏🏻

This was our second time staying at this lovely inn. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the grounds are both spacious and tranquil. There is even a pool which is an excellent way to cool off after a day exploring the nearby trails or bike path. The breakfasts are creative and delicious and very filling. Amy, the owner and innkeeper is wonderful. She takes great care of the property and is so welcoming to her guests. She is very gracious in helping with advice on what to do in the area and making dinner reservations. We were among her first guests as Massachusetts began to "open up" during the Covid 19 crisis. She took great care to assure that everything was done to make her guests safe and comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Is it possible and safe to walk from the inn into the town centre? How long would it take & is there a sidewalk?
Brewster, Massachusetts1 contribution2 helpful votes
Hello! Our business establishments - Inns, Galleries, Shops, Restaurants, etc. are located along a several mile stretch of Old Kings Highway (Route 6A). Sidewalks along much of the length of Old Kings Highway were just installed this Fall, so you are able to walk along much of the route. However, there are some spots that were too narrow to place a sidewalk. From our Inn, Brewster By The Sea, you are able to easily walk to the Drummer Boy Park and the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, including a trail to the beach on Cape Cod Bay. I suggest using a bicycle or car to explore further than that. ~~Amy Chesnut.
