We loved this campground! We stayed in 6Ext and it was about 3 miles from the entrance to the campground (not a huge deal but something to be aware of). We rode bikes on the many miles of paths and also went running on the trails. The kids loved swimming in the "ponds" - gorgeous lakes surrounded by trees. The... More

State Park camping ground with many large sites. It pays to book in advance but we took a chance and got a booking on the day. If booking on line there is an additional $8.65 service fee which is quite a bit if only wanting one night. No power on site however there are water taps available to access (not... More

Very quiet and clean! Large. Sites with trees . Camp store, ponds, boat launch , trails, bike trails, camp fire rings , enough room for the family! Close to town and beaches. The small town of Brewster and or orleans is beautiful.

I stayed here for a few days in the end of June. It was the first time I stayed in a state run park, but now that I've been made aware of what a great deal it is I've already made reservations for the end of July in a VT state park. I stayed in site 158 in loop 6x.... More

Our campsite was in Area #6 and was nearly empty. This appeared to be the only camping area that was on top of a hill so to get back to the site you had to walk uphill about 150 yards. Other than that the sites were clean as were the bathrooms.

This is a big big state park with multiple loops. We stayed in sites 119 & 120 in area 2. They were the only 2 trailer sites in that loop. They were nice but up a big hill from the water. We never used the kayaks we brought. Just so much to see & do. Areas 6 & 7 were... More

Let's start by saying this campground was very nice. It is very large and there are (decently cleaned) restrooms nearby to about all sites. The showers might require you to take a drive to it, as they are fewer, but they too were mostly clean. Also Cliff Pond was very nice. We were there in June and the water was... More

Visited Nickerson State Park the weekend after Memorial Day 2015. It was a wonderful experience! The campground (area 7) was almost empty with only one other site occupied. We had several ponds to ourselves (especially the smaller ones), and enjoyed hours alone on the beach. The caterpillars were out in force, so I recommend bringing a tent with good netting... More

Let me preface this review by saying both of my stays (both in May) were not during peak season. I can imagine this place getting pretty noisy during the mid summer. Anyways, our stay was great. Both sites we chose were perfect, one site was more secluded than the other, so do some research to try and pick better sites... More

I have always been a huge fan of Nickerson State Park. I used to come here at least every other year growing up, but this was my first time coming with my wife. We had an amazing time. It's the perfect place for visiting the cape, as it is located in a very centralized location. If you enjoying biking, they... More
