My family stayed here for 4 days in October. The campsite had plenty of space and we were not on top of the adjacent sites. The camp store was very nice and had everything you may have forgotten. There were also flying squirrels that would wander to our campsite at night and entertain us.

It’s our first time camping and we only stayed there for one night. So not much to compare with. We had a great lot of fun. Nice ground, a lot of people but not too noisy. Location is great. There are a few ponds in the park. We stayed in area 7 and there’s a beautiful pond right at the... More

My GF had camped at Nickerson twice before and I was anxious to see how it compared to my beloved Adirondacks. The campgrounds themselves are well organized and a store on the grounds was a plus. Many loops with campsites scattered about so as to not be on top with one another. But campsites are relatedly close together. Primarily a... More

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights as part of a larger road trip. The bathrooms were okay for a state park - clean enough but the grounds were noisy. Many people brought young babies (less than 2 years old) that screamed all night. I can appreciate camping is a family activity but in an area where... More

We greatly enjoyed camping here. The campsite was adequate, with a fire pit and a picnic table. There was a washroom with flushing toilets as well as a water tap a few steps from our site. The showers and the camp store weren't too far away either. The washrooms and showers were relatively clean and decent considering you are in... More

This state park is beautiful! It is large, well maintained, and full of amenities. The sites are large, private, and comfortable (fire-rings and picnic tables provided). There are no hookups, but there is a nice, big dump station where you can empty the tanks of your RV and get fresh water. We stayed in a 31' class A motorhome and... More

Nickerson is a great campground. Generally clean, huge, and with plenty of space between campsites. There is a lot to like. However.... here in mid-June, we find our site infested with Gypsy Moth Caterpillars. They are everywhere, crawling into our gear and pooping from above as they eat leaves. They will be likely gone in a week or so, but... More

We have been wanting to visit this campsite for over a decade. However we have a motorhome in this is more for camp ing with the tent. The sites are clean and spacious. There are paved bike trails on rolling hills and hiking trails that are overgrown with poison ivy. The ponds are beautiful but this park is so huge... More

We stayed in one of the most beautiful sites, #061, right on the water. We loved the location as far as the view and proximity to the water! It was a huge site, set above the water, with stairs leading down to the water below it. We were there during the week, and had a handful of folks walk through... More

My family and I have camped at Nickerson State Park many times. We have NEVER been disappointed. Our site had a little trail leading down to the beach and it was almost our little section which was cool. We have had our cousins visit for a day and they loved it to. BTW the ponds are clear and beautiful!
