First time at Scusset and we arrived shortly after high tide. The bathrooms were clean but the soap dispensers were empty. There was a large concession building but it was buttoned up shut with a note stating it was closed for the 2014 season. There was an ice cream truck there all day getting lots of business as many people... More

This state beach is pretty nice. The beach itself is large with soft sand and is clean. The pavilion area has large bathrooms with flush toilets and outdoor showers as well as a snack bar. Unfortunately the snack bar is closed for the 2014 season ? There was an ice cream truck in the parking lot the day we were... More

Staying at a local campground but rode my bike the 6 miles to the beach. The water was not as cold as I expected and very clean. Walked the Jettys. Perfect picnic spot. The far end of the beach is not rocky. The beach is free if you bike there.

This is one of my favorite beaches and the food at the concession stand is excellent. However, I was at Scusset Beach on a Saturday in mid-June and the concession stand was closed? Is open regularly now or closed for the season?

Scusset Beach State Park offers an incredible value for a mere $20/night for a good size camp site with water and electric. At the end of the campground is the beach - a gorgeous, clean, family friendly beach and to the side of the campground you have walk on access to the 7 mile Cape Cod Canal path maintained by... More

First of all I am a local and have seen some good and bad beaches. Scussett beach is #3 in my top 5 of the best. It is a little rocky, but it is big and generally clean. I have camped here with my family once in a tent. That didn't go good not due to the people who work... More

I would suggest leaving early from wherever you are coming from. The traffic gets backed up. Upon arrival I noticed it does have a campground which is great to stay and walk back and forth from the beach and not have to get stuck in traffic. They have bathrooms and showers. Agreat variety of food. the beach is big and... More

What a terrific location on the mainland side. This beachfront by the entrance to the canal proves to be an excellent value. The beach, while it can get a bit rocky, is clean and safe and the water is calm in this bay side setting. . While it can get crowded by the boardwalk area dump off on the beach,... More

Nice, convenient and clean beach. Good clean bathrooms, outside showers and only $7.00 to park. A lot easier & cheaper than fighting the traffic over the bridge and on the cape. The water is clean and calm but very rocky-bring your beach shoes, flip flops....whatever. Don't go barefoot. The Staff here work very hard to keep this beach sparkling. It... More

We stayed here a total of 5 nights with a trailer, and even though we had to switch sites (understandable when you have central reservations based in New York) it was done with a minimum amount of trouble. We found the facilities very clean, close to all sites with plenty of hot water and an efficient dumping station. One staff... More
