As a Pillow alum, I stayed here both with my family and with a group of friends. Carolyn is the absolute best hostess and keeps her lovely house clean, warm, and inviting. Comfortable beds, gorgeous grounds and gardens, and friendly felines. Her blueberry pancakes are to DIE for and she is a wealth of helpful tips for exploring the area!... More

Enjoyed the stay and the great, clean, quiet. Wonderful time at our pace. Relaxation and not have the feeling of being rushed at anytime. Carolyn is a very hard working caring host. Check it out. Worth the trip.

Spent 2 nights in all the rooms at the impressive 250-ish-year-old Baird Tavern Inn. Really enjoyed the comfortable rooms and beds -- my favorite was the Ashley Room, the one with the private bath. The bathrooms were all very clean and comfortable. I really appreciated Carolyn's taste in the furniture and decor: rustic antiques with clean lines that are solid... More

What a lovely place to stay! Carolyn, the owner, and her furry-pawed cohorts were very hospitable, and the house is full of wood and friendly energy. This is not a B&B in the over-stuffed Victorian milieu, with its chintz & trinkets - this has an elegant, simple, Revolutionary War-era feeling. I can imagine it would be a great place to... More

We had a lovely stay with Carolyn and Clark. Her home is warm and welcoming - our room was comfortable and furnished just beautifully. Carolyn made us feel right at home and fed us some mean blueberry pancakes! Mary Karl and Terry Dyben

Great find! Carolyn makes good coffee and the best pancakes ever, and this is a VERY quaint, rambling inn. Within walking distance of nice hiking trails and a short drive from good restaurants. About 40 min. from the Tanglewood culture scene.

Carolyn (and Clark) were wonderful hosts. Carolyn is laser-focused on her guests and provides a wonderful, relaxed environment. The tavern is rustic (dating to 1768) and is out of the way. Our room was comfortable and the bed was fantastic! Nicely decorated and always clean. I have severe allergies to cats and sometimes, dogs. I was not bothered in the... More

The Baird Inn is a lovely place to stay. The house is interesting and historical, the rooms are charming, comfortable and cozy, and Carolyn is friendly and hospitable. The blueberry pancakes at breakfast were especially good. The grounds are lovely, too. You are off the beaten path.

We were travelling Eastern USA from Ireland in late September. Baird Tavern is in a beautiful setting in the hills. Carolyn made us so welcome and this is one of my highlights of our trip We would highly recommend this b&b as a warm USA welcome even though it was a bit higher than we would normally pay.

It was like walking back in time! Loved the furnishings, the gardens and Carolyn! We wandered around the inn like it was our home. The breakfast(s) were yummy-all organic! Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. We had the largest room, with a private bath across the hall. Clark, her dog,was so friendly and cuddly. Another couple at... More
