The Lamb & Lion Inn is a great B&B located in a quiet area of Barnstable, Massachusetts. We selected this B&B based on other reviews and sure glad we did! The inn keepers and staff were the friendliest people and our stay last July was one the best and most comfortable ever! We stayed in Sweet 6 and had a... More

Aw shucks...what a great review! Everywhere Chick you must have the New England winter blues! You were here in the summer and you're writing a review in February? Sounds like someone is thinkin' about summer again! We love it. So glad you enjoyed your stay, but actually you were in Sweet 9--the one with the multiple shower heads. Sweet 6... More

My husband and I celebrated my husband's birthday at the Lamb and Lion last weekend. We LOVED it. 1. We were able to bring out pup and celebrate as a family. 2. Eileen, Tom and Ali helped me surprise my husband by setting up a bottle of champagne, flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, cheese and crackers prior to our arrival (I... More

One of our favorite couples of the year (and that was BEFORE an awesome review!). Seriously, you guys were so much fun---and the fact that SHE'S still making up for forgetting HIS birthday!? I feel your pain! It was our pleasure to try to keep you out of hot water this time around. THANK YOU for your compliments on the... More

Recently spent a night here for a quick getaway. We were warmly greeted by Eileen who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Our room was the "owners pride" and it had everything, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, kitchen, fireplace, living room. It was like a small apartment. Everything was great and would highly recommend to anyone looking... More

Paul, you made our week! Ali and I (the owners) sometimes take a little vacay time ourselves this time of the year, so to read your review on my laptop poolside was a nice addition to our time away. Eileen is not just our assistant innkeeper for about 20 years (!!) she is a hospitality dynamo and our true "secret... More

Tom, Ali and Eileen are great hosts We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night in October 2015. From the minute we arrived our hosts were very welcoming and professional. The room was excellent , complete with a gas fireplace. Breakfast was fantastic -- homemade muffins and Ali's home made granola. Tom was very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions.... Thank you! We really appreciate the kind words. Many people think of Cape Cod as a rockin' summer destination--but the travelers in "the know" come in October when the fall foliage is at it's peak, the dogs can romp on the beaches, the restaurants are open but not packed and the fall festivals are in high gear. Speaking of festivals,... More

This was our third time staying at the Lamb and Lion Inn. We stayed in the Lamb's Retreat this time. It is tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. Tom and Eileen make you feel right at home and are so attentive and friendly (we missed you Ali!). The breakfast each morning had an nice assortment of homemade breads/muffins and of... More

My friends brought me here for my bachelorette weekend two months ago and it was the best!! We stayed in the Barn-stable and it was quirky, private, and comfortable. It's a chance to get away without leaving all the comforts of home behind. This place has a heated saltwater pool and a hot tub that I still dream about. We... More

What a wonderful surprise! These girls were here over the INCREDIBLE SUMMER we had--perfect weather (although yes, a few of those muggy nights brought out the mosquitoes--but it sure beats rain!). We LOVE our 1740 BARN! It certainly is a lot of fun and we love the history balanced with the "newer" part of the inn with the courtyard, hot... More

As always, the Lamb and Lion Inn was a wonderful place to relax with our dogs for a long weekend. We mixed a little work with pleasure and found the internet to work just fine. Lounging by the pool with a cocktail - a perfect way to end the day. Tom and Ali are terrific hosts.

Thanks Michelle! We hate to see people have to work on their time off, but we get it. It's very hard to escape it these days, so we're glad you found the inn worked for both your work time and your down time. Mixing pleasure into business is another way yo take care of yourself. Thanks for taking the time... More

We really enjoyed our stay. Room was very comfortable with huge bed. Tom, Ali and Eileen were extremely friendly and helpful and we made use of their home made excursions. The pool was very inviting as was the hot tub. Great after a long day out or just chilling. Fabulous breakfasts too.

We stayed in the barn-stable at The Lamb and Lion Inn for two weeks, and to be honest it was a huge disappointment. OK, there's a lot of space, but I don't think we have ever seen so many spiders, other creepy crawlies and cobwebs ever. It really put a damper on our stay. Even my husband who doesn't really... We are not sure what to make of this review. The longest rental we had in the Barn this entire season was for 6 days. This guests claims they stayed 2 weeks? Think about that--would YOU stay in a barn of caliber with smells and "creepy crawlies" and debris for 2 WEEKS--and above that not say anything??? We certainly would... More

We've stayed in the Innkeepers Pride room four times and love it. It's very spacious and comfortable--we love the private deck with hammock. Ali & Tom & everyone who works at the inn couldn't be nicer or more accommodating with ideas, tips and directions. The food is delicious. Our small dog loves it there too.

We are VERY fortunate to have so many return guests. As we speak there is a couple staying with us from Germany who have joined us every year (!) for 22 years (!!!).
