This place has every thing you want and need for a wonderful getaway. The property and grounds are beautiful. Rooms are just amazing, comfortable, roomy, and wonderfully decorated. Everyone is friendly and helpful

Well THAT is a great review--Short and veerry sweet! Yes, we'd like to think we are the best inn on Cape Cod. Are we really?? Hmmm, good question. We can tell you that our guest services & hospitality cannot be matched. We have been voted by Cape Cod Life readers poll as the "Best mid-Cape Inn/B&B from 2008 - 2014,... More

The Lamb and Lion Inn in Barnstable is centrally located, and was a perfect location for our trip to the Cape. We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday while in the region for a family celebration. We took a walk on a nearby beach and on the National Seashore, kayaked with Nauset Marsh Tours, went Whale Watching out of Barnstable... More

Sounds like a good time! We remember these folks--very wonderful to have you here! We hooked them up with greatly reduced whale watch tickets (innkeeper Tom works part time for the boat and can hook the inn with great deals (and he hooks guests up with his "secret spot" for the best whale viewing. The kayak tours is actually called... More

The Lamb and Lion was suggested by another B&B owner and I am glad we listened. Tom was friendly and very welcoming. He also provided us with a list of things to do and they were all great suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable and fun. The bathroom was quite small, as was the kitchen, and that's the reason... More

Thanks for the kind words! Yea, we're not perfect--CLOSE, but not quite. But here's the thing...do you know how unusual it is to stay at a B&B with this much privacy (yes, a B&B with privacy!) and 6 out of 10 rooms have kitchenettes? It's not your ordinary joint. Some of the kitchens or kitchenette units are bigger than others.... More

We stayed for a second time at the Lamb & Lion Inn in June for our anniversary and have booked our 3rd trip as well for Labor Day w/e. The inn is situated on Route 6A and you're able to get to other towns very easily. We stayed in the Innkeeper's Pride, which is like renting half a house. The... More

This inn was recommended to us by another inn keeper on the Cape. I have stayed in many inns and b&bs around the country. This is one of the best! Tom is very charming and friendly. He provided us with a list of things to do from walks to eating to shopping to site seeing. This is an awesome inn... More

Wow! Thank you so much for the review. I wish I knew the name of the other innkeeper so I could thank them in person. We innkeepers on Cape Cod refer around a lot and all strive to make sure our Cape Cod guests have a great time. We hope that as you read this you're thinking of staying at... More

Last week we revisited L & L and were most happy, although not surprised, to find due to the heartfelt and diligent efforts of Tom and Ali that the high standards of excellence were maintained at this beautiful inn. Starting the day with breakfast at an umbrella'd poolside table and winding through the day with some sun bathing and a... More

These folks are the best. We are very lucky to get so many repeat guests--tons of them, actually, and these folks we can consider family. They also happen to hold the Lamb and Lion record for "most hours spent poolside"!! That's the beauty of having a pool, hot tub, and courtyard with outdoor fireplace. After a couple of days of... We stayed at the Lamb and Lion Inn on our first getaway together and could not have had a better time! Easy to feel comfortable and at home, Tom and Ali were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The set up of the place is great, no matter which room you're in you are steps from the pool and... More

That's funny---I'll tell you a secret--we're normally hotel people too! In B&Bs you never know what you're going to get, but with hotel chains, well, at least they're consistent, right? We use this attitude to our advantage and that's why we've become one of the most unique inns in America. You want that B&B warmth & conversation? You got it.... More

Our stay was actually a few years ago, but we were just looking through pictures and stated how awesome this place was and different from other B&Bs. I wasn't an avid reviewer at that time, but here it is. The room was amazing. We loved the spaciousness of it and the little "porch" outside. Also, the pool and hot tub... More

The solar-heated pool, hot tub and courtyard with outdoor fireplace are, indeed, one of the many things that make the Lamb and Lion unique. As is our "eat it when you want, where you want" breakfast with "super-size options. We are always trying to think a little out of the box. We have been at the Lamb and Lion for... More

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away in the Cape and we stayed at the Lamb and Lion for 2 nights. Having never been to Cape Cod, I can't imagine we could have lucked out with a better place to stay. The property, rooms and courtyard with pool were well taken care of, clean, and inviting. It was relaxed,... More

We stayed on Valentine's day this year. My boyfriend booked the room as a surprise for me and requested a massage for the morning after our stay. Dust? Hmm...I have to say I'm surprised by this, but I believe this reviewer. The owners (that's us) decided this winter to take a couple of months off to renew, refresh & see family (and drink margaritas far away from the Northeast chill!). We did stay open and we were well run by our amazing assistant Jill (read more reviews... More
