We have stayed several times at Ramblin Pines, in the cabin that overlooks the "lake". Our children were thrilled with the goats (they named them Georgie & Gracie), the cows that strolled into the "lake", the fishing, the pool, the country store, the ducks/geese that marched in single file several times each day, in and out of the water, our... We used to stay here all the time, usually 8-10 times a year, but the campground keeps going downhill. When we arrived today, the person at the gate was rude, the person in the office was rude, and then the manager came to our site and said I had to move my truck, even though it was parked legally on... Its a nice place, however, we were approached on three different occasions (7:00, 8:30 & 10:00) in reference to our volume. We were unable to hear our radio as it was, but told by staff that although they did not find our music to be loud...one other camper (out of 200 others) did. It is clearly stated that quiet time... I went to Ramblin Pines becuase we needed a break, but didn't want to take time off work. Whats great about them is they are 30 minutes from my house but you really do feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. They have nice sites, I have a two year old and the site was laid out... More

I am not a camper, so rented one of their cabins. Really small with the worst beds I have slept on in a long time. Had to make a trip to Walmart for a foam mattress because the springs in the mattress had no covering. They advertise free internet. Good thing it is free because it is non-existent. Campground is... This is a nice secure place to pull in if you are driving I-70 in Maryland. The staff lead you to your site, help you get into your site, and with the extended hours they are there everyday, are there if you need them. A secure gate is at the entrance and key cards, with a deposit, are available for... More

Ramblin Pines is a very clean campground that seems to cater to families with children and dogs. If you do not fall into this category you might be better served at another facility. Bikes, toys, and other children's paraphernalia often obstruct the roads while their indulgent parents smile and nod. On weekends, the local element can be quite loud in... More

The staff was friendly and professional. We were even guided to our site and our firewood was delivered a little later. Couldn't ask for better service. There are lots of activities for those who want something to do, or one can just relax and enjoy the quiet.

We stayed there in the "off" season, early Dec. The park was almost empty, but we got the feeling it was designed especially for traveling familes, with lots of activities, including a large arcade, table tennis, pool table, just to mention the indoor attractions. The managers are very helpful, and the store is well supplied for RV travelers. We hope... More

My husband and I were visiting the area and wanted easy access to D.C., Baltimore and Gettysburg. We found Ramblin Pines and were delighted with this facility. When we arrived on Saturday, a hayride was just beginning and families were enjoying the facilities and common areas. We were escorted to a site right up front, near the office. The staff... More
