We stayed here as we prepared to ride the C&O towpath. The innkeeper really took care of us and was willing to help out should we have an issue on our ride. The breakfast was great, and we felt very secure and rested. There was plenty of parking and our car was safe there while we were gone for several... More

My children (14, 12 & 3) and I were warmly welcomed into this beautiful B&B after riding hours on the C&O Canal trail. Tonya was the perfect hostess. She made us feel right at home and helped me with planning and places to stay along the trail. Her generosity and kindness were invaluable to me. Not to mention that her... More

A short climb up from the Towpath gets you to the Candlelight Inn. Tonya greeted us at the door and we went around back to store the bikes in a locked garage. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms spotless. Beds were fine although I prefer a firmer mattress. Our room faced the street and we had a quiet night except for... More

After riding for over 10 hours on the C&O bike trial (Pgh to DC) we arrived late, due to a flat tire, and were treated like kings and a queen. Dinner was brought in, BP&J sandwiches were provided for the next days lunch and the breakfast in the morning consisted of home-made waffles, fruit, yogurt and coffee. Our bikes we... More

It worked well that our group shared the two connected bedrooms with a bath on the top floor. breakfast provided but limited. wifi was good. Great place to clean up bikes (muddy trail day) and locked storage.

We were riding the C&O Trail and enjoyed the night at the CandleLight Inn. Breakfast was balanced and yummy. She stored our bikes in the garage in the back. Pay in cash, easier for a small business owner.

We were 5 friends (2 couples and a friend) bicycling the C and O Canal. Tonya was a wonderful hostess and the historic house is restored very well. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. Booking ahead was easy, as Tonya gave me her personal cell phone number, so I was able to contact her easily with any... More

I normally don’t like writing negative reviews, but the Candlelight Inn has some detractors. Specifically the pricing. You can get a better deal up the road at the Red Roof Inn. The place is clean, but it is over rated. Rooms are spartan, no private baths. The breakfast is lacking in substance and portion. The proprietor, Tonya, lives on premises... More

As another review stated...which we should have heeded...this was the least enjoyable stop on our C & O Canal and GAP bike trip. We arrived after a very hot day only wanting to hop in the shower and cool off. We were greeted by a family member whose first request was that we pay them. That should have been a... More

Stayed at the Candlelight Inn B and B in May on our bike tour from DC to Pittsburgh. We had an excellent night.Enjoyed the Inn's location with a great bike shop as well as the Desert Rose Cafe on the same street where we enjoyed a great smoothie. Our rooms and adjoining bath was very comfortable , nicely decorated and... More
