The motel is clean, the employees were friendly, however it is a place to sleep, the amenities are few and sporadic, and sometimes the room wasn’t cleaned until late in the day. The TV and internet worked well. As I said it is a comfortable place to sleep it is not a vacation spot. I stayed there for two weeks... More

We were in the area for a reunion and travel with our small dog. It was a welcome blessing to find a Pet Friendly lodging so convenient and affordable. We were not expecting a resort style of lodging... just a clean, comfortable room. Beds were more comfortable than some at more expensive sites in town, where we have stayed before.... More

We liked this place. The hotel was listed as pet friendly on our dog show program, and it was pet friendly. Most of all,it was also people friendly.Although it was an older motel,it was very well maintained. The rooms were really clean, and the surrounding grounds well trimmed and free of debris. There were even flower beds around the pool.We enjoyed the coffee ,but the continental... The Boston Inn has everything you want and more, in a reasonable lodging in Westminster, and the service couldn't be friendlier. They were even giving out free Green & Black's Organic Chocolate bars at the front desk! We booked one of two rooms with a jacuzzi, and it didn't disappoint. The tub was elevated, surrounded by mirrors, and enormous! The... More

My wife, teenager, and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Boston Inn (named for the owners, not the city). When we set out, our goal was an inexpensive motel near Baltimore. This one was a real throwback to the roadside motor courts of the 1950's. The room has plaster walls and ceiling and the bathroom has blue tile. The owners... More

We are locals, and we spent one night at the Boston Inn just to do something different. It was very nice. We had a room with a refrigerator, microwave, computer, everything we needed to feel at home, all for a very low price. These are things that many much higher-priced chain hotels do not provide. The grounds and the room... More

This was my 2’nd stay at The Boston Inn. You realize The Boston Inn is unique when you check in and are given a hospitality bag. This time the bag contained samples of about 10 products from snack-size candy bars, to peanut butter, to Emergen-C. It’s an eclectic mix. The bag had completely different products last time. It’s fun wondering... More

We didn't have anywhere else to stay - there are 3 hotels in this area (Best Western, Days Inn, and the Boston Inn). Everything else was booked. Our room at the Boston Inn DID NOT have a hair dryer, clock, shampoo, or conditioner. The pillows were flat and our bathroom did not have enough towels and washcloths for all of... More

After reading this comment, I interviewed the desk clerks on duty that day. They never had a complaint from a customer of this nature and I was never contacted with one. We are a family/american owned property working hard for our customers. Our laundry is done in house with connecting door to the office. We always have linens and towells... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in the 1960's as lee's motel the hotel was the only hotel in the area. Starting out as only 20 rooms we have grown over the years to a 118 room property with a large outdoor swimming pool. The hotel was bought in 1992 and the name was changed to the Boston Inn. Many changes have been made through out the years to keep up with the modern times but the property still keeps its older "traditional" mom and pop Inn feel. We recently added LCD HD T.V's to all our rooms as well as a Dell desktop computer and free wireless internet through out the property.Very convenient to McDaniel College, Carroll County Farm Museum, Carroll County Ag Center, and Union Mills Homestead. We are about 30 minutes from Owings Mills, Reisterstown, and Frederick, and about 45 minutes from Baltimore, and Gettysburg. ... more   less
