I made a deposit in Nov 2013 of over $1000.00 for three rooms in June of 2014, for my daughters wedding. They closed and began remodeling the inn in Feb. 2014. I called many times and was assured over and over again that they would be open. By mid May they were still not open and I felt that I... More

I don't know how you can rate the Tilghman Island Inn anything short of 5 stars! I've been going to Tilghman Island since I was a little kid. My aunt and uncle have a beautiful house right on the bay, and I've been escaping there from my hectic life in New Jersey for the last 19 years. It's in my... More

We were warmly greeted when we arrived to spend a relaxing night and gourmet dinner at the newly renovated Tilghman Island Inn. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the water, where we could watch the local fishing/oyster boats come and go. Our room had a large gas fireplace and a whirlpool tub. Lots of choices for pillows. We... More

After a heartwarming welcome from Susan, we checked into our garden view room, which was warmed to stave off the evening chill and found it to be spacious, clean, and more than expected in terms of comfort. We dined in the on-site restaurant and the meal was tasty and well-prepared. The bar area had a fireplace, which was lit and... More

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary for the Columbus Day weekend. You never know if a hotel will measure up to photos online, but we were very happily surprised with this place. We stayed in a room on the second floor, with a balcony overlooking the waterway. Several small boats went by in front of the... More

My husband and I, and our entire group of 40 family members, had a fabulous time at the Tilghman Island Inn from August 8th to August 11. Rooms were pristine and extremely comfortable. THE FOOD, (mussels meuniere, watermelon salad, scrumptious prime rib, crab cakes and soft shell crabs, marvelous desserts and so many other dishes, were incredible.) The view of... More

It sure looks nice in the photos, but we'll never know. We paid a $300 deposit for our 25th anniversary in January, but shortly before the big day in May, they cancelled our reservation citing renovations and new ownership, grudgingly offered a refund, but never sent it, despite numerous e-mail and phone calls. We're out our $300, but the good... More

We stayed at the Tilghman Island Inn during my Ironman race a few weeks ago. Even though it was an hour away from the race, I feel so grateful that all of the big chain hotels were booked up, otherwise we would not have discovered this place. You drive through St. Michaels and over a bridge, and down on the... More

We were apprehensive at first to return after their less than stellar reviews. My husband and I have been returning to this spot and Inn for the last 10 years. We have seen the decline in service as well as the quality of food served at the Inn as well the restaurant in the last few years...But we returned home... More

I will argue with the reviewer that the "spirit" is gone from the Inn. Granted Captain Dave has moved on but Alex the new Captain is doing all the right things to steady the ship. There is no harder working staff in the industry than the staff of the Inn. There have been many major improvements made to the Inn... More
