I stayed at the Econo Lodge Temple Hills from 5/13-5/16/07. After reading some of the reviews on tripadvisor, I was a little bit reluctant in booking this place. However, since everything else in DC averages around $185-350 per night, I settled for this place for few reasons. 1. I was traveling by myself and I don't need a luxurious bed... more

Pros - Less than 5 min walk to Naylor Metro Station (Green) which will take you to Smithsonian Metro Station in about 24 mins. Soul food seafood restaurant right next door had lots of business & smelled great (did not go, but wish I did). Polite staff. TV with HBO. Ice Machine & Drink Vending Machine. Short 2 or 3... more

The Econo Lodge is a 15 minute metro ride from central DC. Originally we went to Temple Hills metro station but were told that the hotel is actually at Naylor Road, which is around 3 stops back. When we arrived, the reception was closed but after around 5 minutes, someone came and checked us in, however their grasp of English... more
