Staff was very helpful and check in was a breeze.. I wanted a non smoking room and got a smoking room. He helped by spraying the room but this didn't work. Even now all my clothes smell of smoke. Not to self....never stay in a smoking room ever again. Room was ok, clean and comfortable. I loved the microwave and... More

Good location. right next to the train station. The room was clean. the bed very comfortable. The only downside was that the hotel stank from cigars and it didn't improve much after we asked for a non-smoking room.

This place totally sucks! The room was too dark. We complained about no lighting and the manager did nothing. There were lamps on each side of the bed and neither one worked. The room lamp must had 25 watt bulb in it. The cushion chairs were stained so bad as if someone in the nude sat in after s*x. The... More

I made the checkin at 4:30p. The hotel stank! Smells cigarettes inside the room! I made the checkout at 5:10p in the same day. Totally impossible sleep there. Neighborhood scares! I lost money but is ok! Because they do not refund. The price does not worse at all. We walked more to 2 miles and stay in Holliday Inn almost... More

I saw two reviews for this hotel on Tripadvisor that mentioned that the hotel was "great for the price." So I figured, why not? First off, I was scared just driving through the area. The area was run-down, and I was definitely afraid to get out of the car. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we noticed the... More

I stayed at the Econo Lodge Temple Hills from 5/13-5/16/07. After reading some of the reviews on tripadvisor, I was a little bit reluctant in booking this place. However, since everything else in DC averages around $185-350 per night, I settled for this place for few reasons. 1. I was traveling by myself and I don't need a luxurious bed... More

Pros - Less than 5 min walk to Naylor Metro Station (Green) which will take you to Smithsonian Metro Station in about 24 mins. Soul food seafood restaurant right next door had lots of business & smelled great (did not go, but wish I did). Polite staff. TV with HBO. Ice Machine & Drink Vending Machine. Short 2 or 3... More

The Econo Lodge is a 15 minute metro ride from central DC. Originally we went to Temple Hills metro station but were told that the hotel is actually at Naylor Road, which is around 3 stops back. When we arrived, the reception was closed but after around 5 minutes, someone came and checked us in, however their grasp of English... More
