We visited the Chateau again this year and it was just as interesting as our last visit. The only thing I would mention for other prospective visitors - there is a pond with frogs that croak at night. Very rural. However, ponds = water = mosquitoes. As it was so hot, we had to have the window open all night... More

Stayed here last week for 3 days (end May 2015) after travelling around this area. We were not disappointed. The reviews are entirely accurate and well deserves the star rating it has received. The area is stunning and views from the garden spectacular over a lovely pond and valley beyond. We were welcomed warmly by the owners who immediately made... More

Stayed four days in La Porcherie, the one bed farmhouse gite or apartment. Big bedroom, and separate living area with kitchen, sofa, seats and a great wood burning stove. Seats and loungers outside too. Warning the kitchen doesn't have an oven but is otherwise well equipped. Get do dinner in the main chateaux too but we didn't. Bakery is in... More

My friends and I have just returned from spending two amazing weeks here. We stayed in Farmhouse la Bergerie, which has been beautifully restored and furnished to a very high standard. We had plenty of space within the farmhouse, the kitchen is well equipped and the fireplace made the evenings wonderfully cosy. The swimming pool was fabulous and the grounds are... More

The dutch owners, Ed and Ineke, know how to make their guests feel at home on their most beautifull and big estate! The house is great and you may use all of it. The rooms are big (I would only change the shower) and with excellent bed. They offer table d hote and we enjoyed a lovely meal o the... More

My wife and I stayed here with another couple for 2 nights at the beginning of August. We were well looked after and enjoyed an excellent meal with the hosts and other guests on our first night. William and Ineke were great hosts and made you very welcome a well as suggesting some excellent nearby restaurants for the second night.... More

Chateau Le Tour is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Dordogne. The main house is decorated very nicely, and we found our triple room, the perfect size for our small family. Ed and Ineke looked after our every need and were wonderful and very helpful hosts. I particularly recommend Ed's soft boiled eggs at breakfast.. they are a must.

Well what can I say about the Chateau? Firstly Aneke and Ed are great hosts, full of character and so laid back that they are almost horizontal. Initially they come from Holland, I think, and their English is exceptional, so we had some great banter. The room and shower room were spotlessly clean and the beds and pillows out of... More

We did not stay in the Chateau, but in the one bedroom apartment located on the grounds. It was a memorable experience. The apartment is about 1000 sq feet, heated by a fireplace and outfitted with a kitchen. We were able to enjoy the lounge in the chateau as well. The grounds are large and well maintained. The hosts are... More

We arrived after a long trek of 8 hours under a heavy sun. There was a party that night. On the phone, Ineke and Edward told me they wouldn't be able to provide us with dinner but that they would drive us to a restaurant 3km away. Since we had walked all day long, we were not considering going out... More
