The front desk staff and bellman were friendly and helpful. The room was nice with a great view of the marina.

I have stayed here on business many times in the past and now I only stay here if I MUST. It just kept getting worse as time went on. It is such a nice location with a beautiful pool I just don’t understand why the rooms are so dingy, gloomy, and not well kept. Musty carpeting throughout and dark hallways... More

Check-in was pleasant. Points used so got a choice of rooms. Concierge was very friendly as was the bartender. Easy and plentiful parking. Easy bike ride or walk into Solomons Island "town" center. Rooms were on the small side, but comfortable if not a little dated. Can't speak to the food but prices seemed reasonable. For the amenities -- and... More

Stayed there for a week on business. 4th floor. Quiet. Nice view of marina (not fancy, but nice). Service staff friendly. Restaurant staff not bad. Nice to go for walk outside. Slightly fancy market nearby with selection of sandwiches, gyros, and sushi rolls. Very nice. Free breakfast meal was not desireable most days - at least the hot portion. Cold... More

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last few months due to my company's restrictions on other options in the area. The last few times have just gotten to be unbearable. There are two wings in this hotel - the one nearest the main lobby / check-in area has an elevator that must not have been... More

Got stuck here for a week-long trip to Pax River NAS across the river because the Hiltons and Marriotts were out of gov't-rate rooms. If you have meetings at Pax River, I definitely recommend staying on the Solomons side of the river for the beautiful sunsets, restaurants, brewery and tiki bar -- but avoid the Holiday Inn if you can.... Well, we didn't actually stay here because I couldn't get as far as making a reservation. The female clerk that answered the phone didn't understand English. I asked the same question 3 times and was met with silence. I kept thinking we got disconnected. The only thing she knew how to say was "would you like to book your reservation?"... More

I have always enjoyed staying here in the past 2 years but seriously their rates have increased and I don't see an increase in service. All non-smoking although they do not advertise that fact ( change in the last 6 months). Very pleasant rooms. Clean. Recently non-smoking. Terrific food in their restaurant - closes at 10 pm. Only objection aside... More

Recently visited my son living in sleepy southern Maryland. In the land of cheap chain hotels surrounding the large Naval Air Test Station there, we decided to use our Priority Club card at a local Holiday Inn. My expectations were not very high, but I was totally surprised by this hotel. It sits right on a bay leading out to... More

Stayed only one night and arrangements were made by the friend we had come to visit. We were not sure what to expect. What we got was speedy check in, clean room, comfortable bed and a room with a back door so we could go outside to smoke. However, at 11:30 someone opened our back door and tried to get in... More
