At first the hotel did not seem so bad because of the price. We first got a feeling that our room was not very clean when we discovered a phone charger of a previous occupant. Our next and probably worst discovery was a used, dirty mens razor sitting beside a half used shampoo bottle in our bath tub. Later on... more

We stayed at the Beacon Marina Comfort Inn over Parents' Weekend at St. Mary's. I booked late and couldn't get a room at a B&B or in Lexington Park, and this turned out to be just fine. The room was clean, the bed was amazingly comfortable (best bed I think I've ever slept in; felt like it had a feather... more

I read these reviews before I checked in and I was not excited about my stay. I am happy to report that it is not THAT bad. It's not the world's nicest hotel by any means, but it's ok if you need a place to stay. There was a bit of a moldy smell in the room, but the carpets... more

We have been coming to this hotel once a year for 5 years now for a couple's weekend. when we got there the night manager was very nice. we had a room on the second floor and he told us he had a open room on the frist floor with a more nicer view (of the marina) if we wanted... more

This hotel needs to be checked for toxic mold -- the smell when I entered the room was overwhelming. It was like walking into a really damp basement. Unfortunately I was staying on the first floor and leaving the window wide open overnight seemed a little creepy as the parking lot is right there and anyone could jump right on... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2-nights to celebrate my Birthday on August 26th and the 27th. The check in was horrible before I had arrived they let me know that the regular receiptionist had just ran out the door crying for some unknown reason, and now the person behind the desk was head of housekeeping and she didn't have... more

Basically a motel in a marina with a gravel parking lot. Restaurant across the parking lot has good food. We stay here a lot. Not big on amenities, but they do have a decent amount of free food for breakfast. Staff are friendly. They have been renovating and the rooms needed it. Good location, close to the activity in Solomons. more

The smell when we walked in on the first floor should have told us everything. It took our breath away. The room wasn't the cleanest, but the toilet, sink and bed were clean and the room didn't have an odor. The floors and especially the bathtub needed more housekeeping. There was mold around the tub faucetts and soap scum in... more

Stayed here during a business trip. The place looks pretty forbidding on the outside, but not as bad on the inside. The room was decent and clean enough, but not overly so. There are some bad odors, especially around the area of the back exit. Breakfast was just OK...nothing special. Staff was not overly helpful, but took care of what... more

Would not recommend this hotel. Rooms were smelly and not clean, especially the bathroom. Nothing fresh about this place whatsoever. Breakfast ran out and never refreshed, never saw a staff member while waiting for 30 minutes. Front desk seemed untrained and when checking out she walked away (who knows where) and returned about ten minutes later. Sheets don't fit the... more
