I stayed at the Mansion House for New Years Eve. It has an awesome location, and it is walking distance from great shops, bars, food and nightlife. The Innkeeper David went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The Rooms are clean and quaint with beautiful wood working. Everything about our stay-cation was great. We... More

We spent two weeks on the road and our two nights at the Mansion House were the most memorable. We arrived at Snow Hill after several days in the hustle and bustle of Ocean City. At first we were a little skeptical, because the house looked deserted, but then Steve showed up, let us in, and we were enchanted by... More

The property is set directly on the bay away from everything. The rooms are decorated with antiques, the floors are ancient hardwood and the you feel like the calmness that this mansion has gained over the decades. The manager/owner/chef/concierge is a very nice man who wants to help and loves what he does. He has bikes to lend (which were... More

George's cottage on Paw Paw Creek is the best place to just chill (even if the air temperature is hot the screened porch under the cypress trees offers cool breezes) This was our second stay there with friends and we love it. The local roads are great for biking and the Chincoteaugue Bay is wonderful for cooling off. Highly recommended!!1

This was our second time staying here, the last time was in 2004. All the other reviews here pretty much say it all - as B&B's go, this place is the best! It's very quiet and relaxing, a beautifully restored old house full of antiques, a nice shady yard right on the water with a dock, and kayaks & bikes... More

Let me start by stating that I absolutely loved this place and would stay here again in a minute. That being said, it is not your typical bed and breakfast. It is not Victorian with flowers, frills, and perfection. It is a beautifully restored historic mansion, full of antiques, that is a work in progress. It was built in 1835... More

I'd echo what other reviewers said, and add that the hosts/owners are super laid-back and accommodating (w/o being too much so), the food was well prepared and very fresh, the coffee was superb (very important to us!), the mattresses are really firm and luxurious (TempurPedic, I believe -- something you almost never find at B&Bs), there is help-yourself liquor, mixers,... This is a great hidden gem on the Eastern shore. Gorgeous views, great service, fabulous food, bikes and kayaks, close to great crab cakes, the perfect romantic getaway but also a place I have gone to with my daughters for fun mom-daughter time.

One of the best B&B's we have stayed in too -- perfect location in a tranquil hamlet right on the water. Very nice host, beautiful restored 1835 house with generous rooms and baths. We, however, stayed in their cottage two blocks away. Two bedrooms, nice little kitchen, large screen porch with rocking chairs overlooking a marsh and creek with herons... More

My husband and I were looking for a weekend escape from NYC, and the Mansion House was the perfect find! I've had some off-putting experiences with B&Bs in the past so I'm sometimes reluctant to stay at them, but I would have no hesitation about staying here again. George was a wonderful host with spot-on recommendations (for both recreation and... More
