Stayed in April 2009 for a conference. Hotel was about 45 minutes from IAD via Supershuttle, cost was $33 to get there. Lobby is somewhat small and sparsely decorated but otherwise attractive. Had a room overlooking the back parking lot and the surrounding area. Room was quite clean, nice large screen LCD, and comfortable beds and chairs. Plenty of space... More

A clean room is our number one priority in a hotel. This hotel came through on that expectation. The large room was very comfortable. They have an indoor pool, open until 11 pm and a very nice fitness center open 24 hours. Free bottled water is available in the fitness center. There is a coffee shop on sit and a... More

The restaurant was really good and the room service was some of the best I have ever had in a hotel. The breakfast came exactly within the 15 minute time frame promised and was hot and excellent. But there is nothing within walking distance so unless you are at a meeting at this hotel, I cannot see why you would... More

I stayed at this hotel for one Friday night. The good: the staff at the front desk and the room SERVICE (I didn't say food). The bad: I paid a lot of money and didn't really feel like I got my money's worth. I really dislike having to pay $13/day for internet. Most hotels I've stayed at recently have free... More

I stayed here for three nights in February because my wife was entered in a dance competition being hosted by the hotel. While my wife attended the competition I had business in DC (although I did sneak away to watch her once). We used Marriott points so that price was not an issue. While I give the Hotel a very... Stayed for one night on business travel in October 2009. Rooms were standard Marriott with Bath & Bodyworks products and comfortable beds. My room had a flat screen LG TV, internet access (for a cost), coffee maker, etc. I was able to pick up free WiFi in the lobby, so keep that option in mind. Workers at the desk were... More

My girlfriend surprised me with a weekday trip to see a concert at the Music Center at the Strathmore. On the way down she infomred me that she had booked a hotel within walking distance to the Strathmore and though it was slightly pricey, was justified considering convenience. When we arrived we were "greeted" by the front desk guy who... More

I stayed here free with Marriott points on a Saturday night in August. $350 for a room sounds excessively expensive, but free + $12 for parking is a steal. I don't mean to be a tight wad, but the idea of having to pay extra for parking seems nuts. I found my room to be clean and comfortable. It wasn't... More

I spent the night at the hotel arriving late after a flight into DCA. It took about 30 minutes in a taxi to arrive ($35 + tip) and the main lobby is very attractive. They told me they were nearly full and that the only rooms remaining were handicapped rooms. They assured me that the only difference from a standard... More

For $58 on priceline.com, what's not to like? If I had paid $349/night to stay here I would be complaining about the potato chips, too. The rooms are lovely. Great beds, high-def TV, etc. The staff is nice enough, if a bit uninformed. ( I had seen a sign at this exit of the freeway for "Historic Old Town Rockville",... More
