My husband and I stayed at the Inn from Jan 21-Jan 23 to celebrate his birthday..We stayed at the Zen cottage and it was WONDERFUL..The Innkeepers Jim and Joanne were away and we had the pleasure of Amy being our host..She was phenomenal..She was so helpful and the food was sooo good..That bread pudding was definitely a great thing to... We enjoyed our stay (Fri. and Sat. nights, MLK weekend). Jim and Joanne are perfect hosts, our cottage was the perfect living area, and the location is the perfect place for relaxing. There are no McDonald's, Burger Kings, KFC's, Walmarts, Targets, or Starbucks. Every place is a mom and pop and everyone treated us with extreme kindness. For the sake... More

Joanne and Jim are super hosts that establish a relaxing environment and make it look easy. We enjoyed being able to bring our city dogs to the coast and enjoy the vast farmland and dockside area. Everything was very clean in our pet-friendly cottage and in the common areas. The breakfasts were well prepared and fresh. The hosts gave us... More

Our kitchen is being renovated, so we thought it would be great to get away for a couple of days. We read many top-scoring reviews about "Inn at Huntingfield Creek" here on Tripadvisor, so we rightfully thought this would be the place to go. We arrived 12/27/11 and departed 12/29/11. The owners were away and we were checked in by... More

Jim and I scheduled a quick personal getaway after Christmas. At the last minute we had to find a sub for our regular innsitter. With little training, she did her best but not satisfactorily for guests who expected us to live up to our reputation as foodies. We will make darn sure that never happens again. We have contacted these... More

Less than 2 hours from Baltimore, the Huntingfield Creek was a perfect getaway for a Fall weekend. Great cottages and rooms. We chose the Pond Cottage which was very comfortable and secluded. It was well decorated with a fireplace and Whirlpool. Very relaxing!!! Rock Hall is 1 minute away and offerred plenty of food and drink and nice shops. Would... More

This is my first post to TripAdvisor although I have used this site as a reference for years. The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is a fantastic place to get away from the hectic pace of life. Our innkeepers, Jim and Joanne (Java and Jezebel -the Labs) were very welcoming and hospitable hosts. They shared interesting stories about the history of... More

Thanks for a gratifying review! So glad that our 'recharged' couple had a good experience and we are basking in their praise! A small point for future visitors; the cottage they refer to as Paradise is actually named 'Island'. Same thing, right? More

I have to toss my hat in with the other reviewers of this pristine and romantic getaway. The warmth of the hosts and the beauty of the grounds make this a memorable getaway, a fairly easy drive from NYC. We enjoyed the Pond cottage and delicious breakfasts. I will remember triple berry bread pudding for the rest of my life.... More

If I were an innkeeper, I'm not sure how I'd respond to a couple who called for a reservation on a Monday night at 7pm... then showed up 10 minutes later with their three-month-old baby. (Long story.) I suppose I'd be partly taken aback and partly delighted to fill another room--and Jim and Joanne certainly took it all in stride,... More

Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable lounge area with complimentary wine and beer, large selection of books and magazines, no television...perfect recipe for relaxation. We enjoyed exploring the property, but were disappointed that their access to the bay wasn't really boat-friendly (very shallow, mosquito-ridden). On the plus side it was nice to watch the sunset from the dock. The town of Rock... More

Although we are delighted to hear our guests enjoyed their stay we would like them and prospective guests to realize that after 8 weeks of drought, our area experienced 18 inches of rain in a month's time. Normally, mosquitoes on our property are rare except after dusk, but the unusual weather combo created a ripe environment for them in our... More

It's a wonderful place stay. The cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway and just to relax. Jim and Joanne were great hosts. Their breakfasts were very yummy. Our city dogs had a blast. They were greeted by Jim and Joanne's 2 labs and Jack Russell. They were able to run and swim in the bay. More
